    12、 of analog and/or digital signals, consisting of a tuner/receiver and a display encased in a single housing.     15、ended but not mandatory. “May” denotes a feature whose presence does not preclude compliance, and implementation of which is optional. “Optional” denotes items that may or may not be present in a compliant device. 3 Modes of Operation 3.1 Sleep Mode: The lowest power consumption state which cannot b

    16、e switched off (influenced) by the user and that may persist for an indefinite time when the appliance is connected to the main electricity supply and used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. For purposes of this specification, Sleep Mode is defined as the time when the product is con

    17、nected to a power source, produces neither sound nor picture, neither transmits nor receives program information and/or data (excluding data transmitted to change the units condition from Sleep Mode to On Mode), and is waiting to be switched to On Mode by a direct or indirect signal from the consume

    18、r, e.g., with the remote control. Note: Sleep Mode was referred to as “standby” in ENERGY STARProgram Requirements for Televisions, Eligibility Criteria (Version 3.0). EPA is in the harmonizing future documents with the term, “Sleep Mode”. 3.2 On Mode Power: The product is connected to a power sourc

    19、e and produces sound and a picture. 3.3 Disconnected: The product is disconnected from all external power sources. 4 Power Measurement 4.1 General Measurement Conditions: Sleep Mode measurements shall be performed under the conditions described in IEC 62301 Ed. 1.0, Section 4, “General Conditions fo

    20、r Measurements”. On Mode measurements shall be performed under the conditions described in IEC 62087 Ed. 2.0, sub clause 5.1, “General measuring conditions”, and sub clause 11.4, “General measurement procedure for On (average) mode” and sub clause 11.6 “On (average) mode testing using dynamic broadc

    21、ast-content video signals. The television shall be measured at the standard input voltage and frequency of the country or region in which the power consumption measurement is to be reported. For instance, when reporting power consumption within the United States, the television shall be tested at 11

    23、EA-2037 An available current crest factor of 3 or more at its rated range value, and lower bound on the current range of 10mA or less. The power measurement instrument shall have a resolution of 0.01 W or better for power measurements of 10 W or less; 0.1 W or better for power measurements of greate

    24、r than 10 W up to 100 W; and 1 W or better for power measurements of greater than 100 W. In addition, the test instrument should have these following attributes: Frequency response of at least 3 kHz Calibration with a standard that is traceable to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technol

    25、ogy (NIST) or calibration to a traceable national standard. Capable of integrating energy over any user selected time interval with an energy resolution of less than or equal to 0.1 mWh and integrating time displayed with a resolution of 1 second or less. 4.3 Measurement Accuracy Measurements of pow

    26、er of 0.5 W or greater shall be made with an uncertainty of less than or equal to 2% at the 95% confidence level. Measurements of power of less than 0.5 W shall be made with an uncertainty of less than or equal to 0.01 W at the 95% confidence level. Note: For more information about the determination

    27、 of uncertainty of measurement, refer to IEC 62301:2005, Annex D. All power figures shall be reported in watts and rounded to the second decimal place. For loads greater than or equal to 10 W, three significant figures shall be reported. 4.4 Measurement Procedure 4.4.1 Settings The device under test

    28、 shall be set as originally shipped in manufacturer default settings. For devices where initial installation requires choice of setting profiles (e.g., ENERGY STAR “Forced Menu” mode, see ENERGY STAR 3.0, section 4.E.2.d), the device shall be set to “Home” or standard mode. If the device under test

    29、has a CableCARD feature, tests shall be conducted with the CableCARD module slot unpopulated. 4.4.2 Sleep Mode Power Sleep Mode power (Psleep_mode) shall be measured as described in IEC 62301 Ed 1.0: Household Electrical Appliances Measurement of Standby Power. Measurements shall be conducted at fac

    30、tory default settings. 4.4.3 On Mode Power On Mode power consumption (Pon_mode) shall be measured as described in IEC 62087 Ed 2.0: Methods of Measurement for the Power Consumption of Audio, Video and Related Equipment, clause 11, “Measuring conditions of television sets for On (average) mode.” The

    32、 shall be within 2% of reference black and white levels. If the device under test has an HDMI input, the HDMI input shall be used for display of IEC 62087 test signals during testing. 4.4.3.1 Televisions without Automatic Brightness Control enabled by default For televisions that do not have an auto

    33、matic brightness control feature, or that have automatic brightness control that is disabled by default, On Mode power consumption (Pon_mode) shall be Po_broadcast, as tested with the dynamic broadcast content video signal. Pon_mode= Po_broadcast4.4.3.2 Televisions with Automatic Brightness Control

    34、enabled by default For televisions that include an automatic brightness control feature that is enabled by default, the device shall initially be tested in a room with a minimum ambient light level of 300 lux at the sensor to obtain the Po_broadcast measurement. A second measurement shall subsequent

    35、ly be taken with the device tested in a room with an ambient light level of 0 lux entering the sensor to obtain Po_broadcast measurement.
