This Standard, like all CSA Standards, is subject to periodic review, and amendments in the form

    2、of replacement pages may be issued from time to time; such pages will be mailed automatically to those purchasers who complete and return the attached card.* Some Standards require frequent revision between editions, whereas others require none at all. It is planned to issue new editions of the Stan

    3、dard, regardless of the amount of revision, at intervals not greater than 5 years. Except in unusual circumstances, replacement pages will not be issued during the last year of that edition. This curd will appear with Ceneml Instnrction No. 7 only. Although any replacement pages that have been issue

    4、d will be sold with the Standard, it is for the purchaser to insert them where they apply. The responsibility for ensuring that his or her copy is complete rests with the holder of the Standard, who should, for the sake of reference, retain those pages which have been replaced.     7、l of Canada to the National Standards system in 1973. It is a not-for-profit, nonstatutory, voluntary membership association engaged in stan- dards development and certificotion activities. CSA standards reflect a national consensus of produc- ers and users - including manufacturers, consumen, retai

    8、len, unions and professional organizations, and governmental agencies. The standards are used widely by industry and commerce and often adopted by mu- nicipal, provincial, and federal governments in their regulations, particularly in the fields of health, safety, building and construction, and the e

    9、nvironment. Individuals, companies, and associations across Can- ada indicate their support for CSA s standards develop- ment by volunteering their time and skills to CSA Committee work and supporting the Associations ob- jectives through sustaining memberships. The more than 7000 committee voluntee

    10、rs and the 2000 sustain- ing memberships together form CSAs total membership from which its Directors are chosen. Sustaining mem- berships represent a major source of income for CSA3 standards development activities. The Association offers certificotion and testing services in support of and as an e

    11、xtension to its standards deveiopment activities. To ensure the integrity of its certification process, the Association regularly and con- tinually audits and inspects products that bear the CSA Mark. In addition to its head office and laboratory complex in Rexdale (Toronto), CSA has regional branch

    12、 offices in major centres across Canada and inspection and testing agencies in eight countries. Since 191 9, the Association has developed the necessary expertise to meet its cor- porate mission: CSA is an independent service organi- zation whose mission is to provide an open and effective forum for

It normaliy is a standard which is capable of making a significant and timely contri6ution to the national interest. Approval of a standard as a National Standard o

    18、f Canada indicates that a standard conforms to the cri- teria and procedures established by the Standards Council of Canada. Approval does not refer to the technical content of the standard; this remains the continuing responsibility of the accredited standards- writing organization. Those who have

    19、a need to apply standards are encour- aged to use National Standards of Canada whenever practicable. These standards are subject to periodic review; therefore, users are cautioned to obtain the latest edition from the organization preparing the stan- dard.     33、achinery (EMM, FM). This Standard is an adoption of IS0 Standard 6683, Earth-moving machinery - 5eat belts and seat belt anchorages, developed by ISO/TC 127, Earth-Moving Machinery (EMM). This Standard is considered to be applicable to mobile forestry machinery (FM) which has similar requirements. a

    34、cceptance of international design data for machinery traded on a world-wide basis. CSA Standard CAN/CSA-M6683 is technically equivalent to IS0 Standard 6683, except for the addition of labelling requirements which are not available in the IS0 version. These have been taken from the SAE Standard J386

    35、. Where the words “International Standard“ appear in the text, they should be interpreted as “Canadian Standard“. This Standard was reviewed by the Technical Committee on Mobile Forestry Machines under the jurisdiction of the Standards Steering Committee on Occupational Health and Safety, and has be

    36、en formally approved by these Committees.
