IS0 and IEC technical committecs collaborate in fields of mutual interest. Other internation

    5、al organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with IS0 and IEC, also take part in the work. In the field of information technology, IS0 and IEC have established a joint technical committee, ISO/IEC JTC 1. Draft International Standards adopted by the joint technicai committee are ci

    9、iety of automatic data processing systems that utilize the individual character input and module features. It is an enhancement to ISO/IEC 10279 and shall be used in conjunction with ISOLEC 10279. This amendment is derived from the American National Standard X3.113A-1989. . 111 0 ISO/IEC ISOAEC 1027

    11、 the meaning of a BASIC program that uses individual character input, or modules, or both; errors and exceptional. circumstances to be detected and also the manner in which such errors and exceptional circumstances are to be handled. 2 Specific changes Page 1 Clause 1 , paragraph 3, replace by: “Thi

    12、s International Standard specifies its own conformance subsets, which include those specified in ANSI X3.113-1987, ANSI X3.113A-I989 and ECMA-116.”. Clause 2, add the following reference: “ANS X3.113A-1989: Addendum fur individual character input and modules. Page 1 Subclause 3.1, paragraph 1, repla

    13、ce the first sentence by: “Apart from the conformance rules the technical content of ths International Standard. is defined in part from Sections 3 to 18 of ANS X3.113-1987 and its Addendum.” Page 2 Subclause 4.1, add the following four new conformance modules: An individual character input module,

    14、which encompasses all programs whose syntax conforms to ANS BASIC Addendum Section 17, together with the core. An individual character input subset module, which encompasses all programs whose syntax conforms to ANS BASIC Addendum Section 17, together with the subset cure. 1 ISOflEC 10279: 199UAmd.l

    17、 programs and implementations that conform to the Addendum to ANS BASIC, X3.113A- 1989, shall automatically conform to this amendment. In addition to the conformance modules defined in ISO/IEC 10279, ths amendment contains four new conformance modules. Of these, modules p) and r) correspond, respect

    18、ively, to modules (7) and (8) in the Addendum to ANS BASIC. None of these new conformance modules corresponds to conformance modules in ECMA BASIC, ECMA- 1 16? inasmuch as ECMA BASIC does not include definitions for individual character input or for modules. 3 ISO/ I EC 1 0279: 1 991 /Am d. 1 : 1994

    21、n National Committee of the IEC. Also, as a member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Canada participates in the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (ITU-T). This Amendment was reviewed by the CSA TCIT under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Steering Committ

    22、ee on Information Technology and deemed acceptable for use in Canada. (A committee membership list is available on request from the CSA Committee Administrator.) This Standard has been formally approved, without modification, by these Committees and has been approved as a National Standard of Canada

    23、 by the Standards Council of Canada.
