    27、beevaluatedall measurementswillhavetobetakenfromthemicroformimageproducedbytheimagegenerator. NOTE ItiscustomaryforgraphicCOMrecorderstoproducenegative-appearingfilmimages.Forclarityofpresentation,the examplesinfigures1-5havebeenreproducedaspositive-appearingimages. 4.2 Testruns Thetestsdescribedin5

    28、shallbeusedinitiallytoevaluatethequalityofagraphicsCOMrecorder,andthen subsequentlytomonitoritsquality.Theymaybeusedasaroutineprocedure,orfordeterminingthereasonfor unsatisfactoryoutput. Theresultsoftheinitialtestrunsshallberetainedasareferencesampleforcomparisonwithsubsequentruns. Wherethistestrung

    29、ivesresultsoutsidesystemtolerances(see4.3),thenthesystemshallbeadjustedandthe initialtestsrepeateduntilresultsarewithinsystemtolerances. Beforetestsarerun,theoperatorshallensurethatthefilmprocessorisinproperworkingorder. Thetestframesshallbeplottedusingtheminimumlinewidthrecommendedbythemanufacturer

    30、forthetypeof testframebeingplotted. Theimagesgeneratedduringtestingshallbeexamined,andifanyshowssignificantsignsofdeteriorationin qualitycomparedwiththereferencesample,theentiresetofimagesshallbere-runandexamined. Resultsoftestrunsshallberetainedforauditpurposes. 4.3 Systemtolerances Systemtolerance

    31、sfortestsspecifiedin5shallbeagreedwiththeequipmentsuppliersanddocumentedalongwith theresultsoftheinitialtestruns.
