Theresultofthemeasurementisinfluencednotonlybythemechanicalpropertiesof

    25、thesystemtobe characterized,butalsobythenatureandpreparationofthesubstrate(see3.2.4and3.3.2). Theresultofthemeasurementcanalsobeaffectedbyinternalstressinthedeposit,whichinfluencesadhesion. Theresultofthemeasurementisthetensilestrengthrequiredtobreaktheweakestinterfaceortheweakest constituentofthete

    26、stassembly.Acombinationofbothadhesionandcohesiverupturescanalsooccur. 3.2Apparatus 3.2.1 Tensiletestingmachine capableofbeingusedinaccordancewith3.5.     29、 3.2.4Adhesives Specialattentionshallbegiventotheselectionofadhesivesforuseinthetest(see3.1). NOTE1 Theadhesionattheinterfaceoftheadhesiveandcoatingcanbeimprovedbyslightlyabradingthesurfaceofthe coatingpriortoapplyingtheadhesivetotheappropriatesurfaceofthetestblock.EN13144:2003(E) 7 NOTE2 Inthemajor

    30、ityofcases,cyanoacrylateadhesives,solventfreebicomponentepoxidesandperoxidecatalysed polyesterscanbeused,althoughtheiradhesionpropertiesareinferiortothoseofmetalliccoatings. 3.3Procedure 3.3.1Test conditions Thetestshallbecarriedoutatatemperatureof(23 2)Candatarelativehumidity(50 5)%. 3.3.2Adhesive

    31、Theadhesiveshallbepreparedandappliedinaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstructions.Theminimum quantityofadhesivenecessarytoobtainauniformjointbetweentheconstituentsofthetestassemblyshallbe used;anyexcessadhesiveshallberemoved. Fordeformablesubstrates,thesubstrateshouldbecoatedonbothfacesandsubjectedth

    32、e“sandwich“method (see3.4.1). 3.4Testassembly 3.4.1 “Sandwich“assembly Cutatestspecimenintheshapeofa30mmdiameterdiscora30mmsidedsquarefromthecoatedsubstrate. Takingcarenottodeformthespecimen,applytheadhesiveuniformlyoverthefacesoftwofreshlycleanedtest blocks(3.2.2)ofthesametestarea.Placethespecimenb
