    1、BRITISH STANDARDBS EN 13126-17:2008Building hardware Requirements and test methods for windows and doors height windows Part 17: Hardware for Tilt the Secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. A full contribution to the preparation of this European Standard has been made by the European manufacturers o

    2、rganisation ARGE and National Standards institutions. This European Standard is one of a series of European Standards dedicated to building hardware products. It is divided into seventeen parts to incorporate all types of windows and door height windows. Informative Annex A of EN 13126-1:2006 depict

    3、s the “list of parts and titles and their reference to the relevant window types” of the seventeen parts of this European Standard. Normative Annex B of EN 13126-1:2006 gives schedules of the elements of components used on the 21 types of window opening functions. Normative and informative annex to

    4、all parts of this European Standard are indicated in the content of the several parts. The performance tests incorporated in this standard are considered to be reproducible and as such will provide a consistent and objective assessment of the performance of these products throughout CEN Member State

    5、s. According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Ital

    6、y, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom. BS EN 13126-17:2008EN 13126-17:2008 (E) 4 1 Scope This part of EN 13126 provides requirements and test methods for durability, strength, securit

    7、y and function of hardware for Tilt maximum sash dimensions (in accordance with the manufacturers product documentation); number and location of locking points. The specimen to be tested shall correspond in function, shape and material for which the hardware is intended. The dimensions of the specim

    8、en shall conform to 4.10. The hardware tested should be in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations for size and mass of the test specimen. 7 Test procedure 7.1 Samples Four samples shall be tested in accordance with this part of this European Standard. sample A1 durability test sample A2 s

    9、tatic endurance test at ambient temperature sample B corrosion test sample C retained for reference control NOTE 1 Alternatively sample A.1 and A.2 may be the same.     10、er regarding the testing of the hardware component or set in accordance with EN 1670. NOTE 3 Sample C should be retained by the test institute for the duration of the validity of the test report. 7.2 Procedure Use sample A1. Inspect the rolls for surface imperfections. Inspect and ensure that the in

    11、stalled hardware set is in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Install the hardware for Tilt the procedure shall be as follows: initial position of the active sash is the locked closed position. hardware is moved jerk and jolt-free into an operating position, in which the tilted position

    12、 is reached. The sash remains for 1 s in this position to allow it to settle. hardware is brought back to the initial position, whereby the locked closed position is reached again; the hardware then remains in the initial position for 1 s, allowing it to settle before the next test cycle is started.

    13、 NOTE The velocity with which the hardware is operated results from the predetermined rate of 200 cycle/h, the indicated interval times and the jerk and jolt-free initiation of all movements. 7.3.1.1.2 Tilt cycles on hardware without positive control Tilt cycles for hardware with tilt function and w

    14、ithout positive control shall be at a rate of 200 cycles/h; the procedure shall be as follows: initial position of the active sash is the locked closed position. hardware is moved into an operating position, in which the tilted position can be enabled. active sash is moved jerk and jolt-free into th

    15、e tilting position from the locking position. The sash shall freefall into the tilt position; (for example the pneumatic cylinder is decoupled or the valves open before the final tilt position). 5 mm before the final tilt position, the velocity shall be 0,5 m/s ( 10 %). In the tilt position the acti

    16、ve sash is held by the scissors-stay arm(s). The sash remains for 1 s in this position to allow it to settle. active sash is brought back to the initial position, whereby the locked closed position is reached again; the initiation of movement shall be jerk and jolt-free. The hardware then remains in

    17、 the initial position for 1 s before the next test cycle is started NOTE The velocity with which the hardware is operated results from the predetermined rate of 200 cycle/h, the indicated interval times and the jerk and jolt-free initiation of all movements. 7.3.1.2 Sliding cycles 7.3.1.2.1 Sliding

    18、cycles on hardware with positive control Sliding cycles for hardware with positive control shall be at a rate of 200 cycles/h. The procedure shall be as follows: initial position of the active sash is the tilted position; hardware is moved jerk and jolt-free into an operating position, in which the

    19、sliding position is reached or enabled If the sliding position via the hardware is not engaged automatically, the active sash shall now be moved to the initial sliding position. This can be achieved for example by BS EN 13126-17:2008EN 13126-17:2008 (E) 13 a device on the bottom or in the vicinity o

    20、f the handle (for example a pneumatic cylinder). The sash remains for 1 s in this initial sliding position to allow it to settle; movement range results from the sash rebate width of the specimen minus 200 mm (for example: a sash rebate width of 1 200 mm results in a movement range of 1 000 mm); act

    21、ive sash is moved along a predetermined movement range while in the sliding position, and remains there for 1 s at the end of the movement range. Both the acceleration from the initial sliding position, as well as braking at the end of the movement range shall be in a jerk and jolt-free manner; acti

    22、ve sash is brought back to the initial position, whereby the tilted position is reached again; the initiation of movement shall be jerk and jolt-free. The sash shall freefall into the tilted position; (for example: the pneumatic cylinder is decoupled 100 mm before the final tilt position / or the va

    23、lves open). The hardware then remains in the initial position for 1 s, allowing it to settle before the next test cycle is started. NOTE 1 The velocity with which the hardware is operated results from the predetermined rate of 200 cycle/h, the indicated interval times and the jerk and jolt-free init

NOTE 2 If retaining devices (i.e. bullet catches, halting strikers, magnets etc.) are used in the hardware which catches and retains the active sash on the bottom in the tilting position, these retaining devices should engage at the end of every cycle. If these retaining dev

    25、ices have to be released via the hardware in order to bring the sash back again into the sliding position, this hardware release shall be operated every sliding cycle. 7.3.1.2.2 Sliding cycles on hardware without positive control Sliding cycles on hardware with positive control shall be at a rate of

    26、 200 cycles/h; the procedure shall be as follows: initial position of the active sash is the tilt position; hardware is moved jerk and jolt-free into an operating position, in which the sliding position can be enabled. After that the active sash is moved towards the initial sliding position. This ca

    27、n be carried out with a device for example on the bottom or in the vicinity of the handle (for example a pneumatic cylinder). The sash remains for 1 s in this sliding position in order to allow it settling; movement range results from the sash rebate width of the specimen minus 200 mm (for example:

    28、a sash rebate width of 1 200 mm results in a movement range of 1 000 mm); active sash is moved along a predetermined movement range while in the sliding position, and remains there for 1 s at the end of the movement range. Both the acceleration from the initial sliding position, as well as braking a

    33、ycles (tilt and sliding cycles) 7.3.1.3.1 General Tilting cycles in accordance with 7.3.1.1 and sliding cycles in accordance with 7.3.1.2 may be combined to result in a total cycle. No individual steps should be repeated during the total cycles. 7.3.1.3.2 Total cycles on hardware with positive contr

    34、ol Total cycles shall be at a rate of 100 cycles/h. The procedure shall be as follows: initial position of the active sash is the locked closed position; hardware is moved jerk and jolt-free into an operating position, in which the tilted position is reached. The sash remains for 1 s in this positio

    35、n to allow it to settle; hardware is moved jerk and jolt-free into an operating position, in which the sliding position is reached resp. can be enabled. If the sliding position via the hardware is not engaged automatically, the active sash shall now be moved to the initial sliding position. This can

    36、 be with a device, for example, on the bottom or in the vicinity of the handle (for example a pneumatic cylinder). The sash remains for 1 s in this position to allow it to settle; movement range results from the sash rebate width of the specimen minus 200 mm (for example: a sash rebate width of 1 20

    37、0 mm results in a movement range of 1 000 mm); active sash is moved along a predetermined movement range while in the sliding position, and remains there for 1 s at the end of the movement range. Both the acceleration from the sliding position, as well as braking at the end of the movement range sha

    38、ll be in a jerk and jolt-free manner; active sash is moved backwards. The initiation of movement shall be in a jerk and jolt-free manner. The active sash reaches the tilt position again. The sash shall freefall into the tilted position; (for example: the pneumatic cylinder is decoupled 100 mm before

    39、 the final tilt position / or the valves open). The hardware then remains in this tilted position for 1 s, allowing it to settle; hardware is brought back to the initial position, whereby the locked position is reached again. The hardware then remains in the initial position for 1 s, allowing it to

    40、settle before the next test cycle is started. NOTE 1 The velocity with which the hardware is operated results from the predetermined rate of 100 cycle/h, the indicated interval times and the jerk and jolt-free initiation of all movements. NOTE 2 If retaining devices (i.e. bullet catches, halting str

    41、ikers, magnets etc.) are used in the hardware which catch and retain the active sash on the bottom in the tilting position, these retaining devices should engage at the end of every cycle. If these retaining devices have to be released via the hardware to bring the sash back again into the sliding p

    42、osition, this hardware release operation shall be every sliding cycle. 7.3.1.3.3 Total cycles on hardware without positive control Total cycles on hardware without positive control shall be at a rate of 100 cycles/h. The procedure shall be as follows: initial position of the active sash is the locke

    43、d closed position; move the hardware into an operating position, in which the tilted position can be enabled; move the hardware, jerk and jolt-free into the tilting position from the closed position, whereby the movement is carried out in a jerk and jolt-free manner. The sash shall freefall into the

    44、 tilt position; (for example the pneumatic cylinder is decoupled or the valves open before the final tilt position); BS EN 13126-17:2008EN 13126-17:2008 (E) 15 5 mm before the final tilt position, the velocity shall be 0,5 m/s ( 10 %). In the tilt position the active sash is held by the scissors-sta

    45、y arm(s). In this position the sash remains for 1 s, so that it may settle; move the hardware, jerk and jolt-free, into an operating position, in which the sliding position can be enabled. After that the active sash is moved into the initial sliding position. This can be with a device for example on

    46、 the bottom or in the vicinity of the handle (for example a pneumatic cylinder). The sash remains for 1 s in this sliding position to allow it to settle; movement range results from the sash rebate width of the specimen minus 200 mm (for example: a sash rebate width of 1 200 mm results in a movement

    47、 range of 1 000 mm); move the active sash along a predetermined movement range while in the sliding position, to remain at the end of the movement range for 1s. Both the acceleration from the initial sliding position, as well as braking at the end of the movement range shall be in a jerk and jolt-fr

    48、ee manner; move the active sash, back to the tilted position again; the initiation of movement shall be jerk and jolt-free. The sash shall freefall into the tilted position; (for example: the pneumatic cylinder is decoupled 100 mm before the final tilt position/or the valves open). The hardware then

Then the hardware remains in this initial position for 1 s and can settle before the next test cycle is started.
