32、uringtheboilerconformstotherequirementsofthisEuropeanStan dard.ConformityshallbeconfirmedbythecompletionofaseriesofinspectionactivitiesasgiveninTable5.41. Dependingupontheconformityassessmentmodulechosenbythemanufacturerforthedesignandmanufactureof eachboiler(seeEN129531:2002,AnnexB),theinspectionac
33、tivitiesshallinvolve,toagreaterorlesserextent,or ganisationswhichareindependentofthemanufacturer. 34、nsibleauthoritytocarryouttheactivities inwhichitisrequiredtobeinvolved. 5.2 Approvalofpersonnel 5.2.1 Checkofwelderandweldingoperatorapproval Themanufacturershallcertifythattheweldingoftheboilerhasbeendonebyweldersandweldingoperatorswho havebeenapprovedundertherequirementsofEN129534:2002,5.15.3.2and
35、theappropriatecertificationshallbe madeavailableonrequest. 5.2.2 Approvalofnondestructiveexaminationpersonnel Forthepurposesofthisstandardthetermnondestructiveexamination(NDE)coverstheconventionaltechniquesof visual,radiographic,ultrasonic,magneticparticleexaminationand/orpenetranttestingasspecified
36、in5.5.2to5.5.4. Personnelresponsiblefornondestructiveexamination,includinginterpretation,evaluationandreportingshallbecer tifiedinaccordancewithEN473. Anexceptiontothisrequirementshallbemadeforvisualexaminationofweldsandfinalinspectionofboilers,for whichEN473isnotapplicable.Visualexaminationshallbei

Visualexaminationshallbecarriedoutbyexperiencedpersonnelhavingsufficientknowledgeinweldingtechniques, andafullcomprehensionofthisEuropeanStandard,toidentifyandinterpretimperfectionsthatmightoccuratthe surfaceoftheweldandtheheataffectedzone.
