    18、rfacingsystems.Itis applicablebothtoprefabricatedsheetmaterialsandtomaterialsformedbycastingofliquidsystemscuredinsitu. NOTE Ifthenatureofthesportssurfaceissuchthataproperlyrepresentativetestpiececannotbepreparedinthemanner describedinthisstandard,thendeterminationoftensilepropertiesshouldnotbeattem

    24、upturetheendsisexertedonanypartofthetestspecimen; b) themovablegripcanbemovedawayfromthefixedgripataconstantspeedof(505)mm/mininadirection paralleltothelongitudinalaxisofthetestpiece,undernoload;EN12230:2003(E) 5 c) theforcethusexertedonthetestspecimencanbereadwithamaximumerrorof1%andcanberecorded;

    25、d) ifanextensometerisused,itexertsaminimumforceonthetestspecimenandelongationofthetestspecimen canbereadtoanaccuracyof0,1mm. 5.2 Thicknessgauge Thicknessgauge,accurateto0,01mmwithaplungerwithaflatmeasuringsurfacenominally4mmdiameter. 5.3 Dialgauge Dialgaugecapableofreadingto0,1mmwithaplungerhavingaf

    28、sremainsrepresentativeoftheinstalledsurfacingensurethatthethicknessofthetest specimenisthethicknessoftheinstalledsurfacing,exceptinthefollowingcases,wherefurtherpreparationis required: a) wherethethicknessoftheinstalledsportssurfaceand/orthesampleprovidedfortestisgreaterthan25mm, reducethethicknesso

    29、fthetestspecimenbymachiningorcuttingtobetween20mmand25mm,takingcare duringthisoperationthatthestructureofthematerialisnotalteredandthetestspecimenremainsas representativeaspossibleoftheinstalledsportssurface; b) wherethematerialcarriesasurfacetexture,embossorgranularfinish,preparetheuppersurfaceand

    30、undersideofthetestspecimenasdescribedin6.2. NOTE Preparationoftheundersideofthetestspecimentoremoveirregularitiesisnecessary,forexample,wherea onceliquidsystemhasbeenremovedfromatexturedorporoussubstrate. Afterpreparation,measurethethicknessofeachtestspecimenusingthethicknessgauge(5.2)anda measureme

    31、ntforceofbetween0,8Nand1,0N. Measurethethicknessofthetestpieceataminimumoffivepositionsalongtheextensometergaugelengthand calculatetheaveragethicknesstothenearest0,1mm.Ifanyonereadingdiffersfromtheaveragethicknessby morethan5%oftheaveragevalue,discardthetestspecimen. 6.2Preparationandconditioning 6.

    32、2.1 Removeanysurfaceembossorgranulartexturefromthetwoparallelsurfacesoftheextensometergauge length,toenablethethicknessofthetestspecimentobemeasured,bygrindingtheirregularsurfacewithabrasive paper,grain60,untilapeaktovalleyheightof(0,50,1)mmisachieved,or50%ofthesurfacetextureheight hasbeenabradedoru

    33、ntilfurtherrubbingnolongerproducesanychangeinthesurfacecondition. 6.2.2 Measurethepeaktovalleyheightbymeansofadialgauge(5.3).Takethereferencesurfaceasaflat metalplate,pressedagainstthetestsurfaceunderaforceof3N. 6.2.3 Onthepreparedarea,makemeasurementsatnineevenlydistributedpointsandtakethemeanofthe

    34、nine measurementsasthepeaktovalleyheightofthesurfacebeingexamined. 6.2.4 Wherenecessary,markthetestspecimenstoindicatetheirorientationinrelationtothedirectionof anisotropy. 6.2.5 ConditionthetestspecimensinaccordancewithoneofthestandardatmospheresgiveninISO291,fora periodofnotlessthan24h. 6.2.6 Wher

    35、ethematerialofthetestspecimenshasbeenformedbycuringorchemicalcrosslinkingofliquid components,preparethetestspecimenunderconditionswhichrepresentascloselyaspossibletheconditions underwhichthesportssurfacewas,oristobe,installed.Donottestspecimensfromsuchmaterialsuntilatleast fivedayshaveelapsedfrommix

    36、ingthecomponents. 6.3Numberoftestspecimens Carryoutthetestonatleastsixtestspecimens.Inthecaseofprefabricatedsheetmaterials,cutatleastthreetest specimensfromthelongitudinal(machine)directionandatleastthreefromthetransversedirection.Formaterials formedinsitu,takeatleastthreetestspecimenfromeachofthetw

    37、odirectionsat90.EN12230:2003(E) 7 7Procedure Carryoutthetestunderthesameatmosphereasthatusedforconditioningthetestspecimens(see6.2.5). Clampatestspecimeninthefixinggrips.Marktheoriginalgaugelengthonthetestspecimen(seeFigure1). Applytheforcetobeexertedonthetestspecimensothatitisuniformlydistributedby

    38、meansofthemovablegrip, atarateofdisplacementof(505)mm/minuntilruptureoccurs. Rejectanytestspecimenthatbreaksoutsidetheextensometergaugelengthandprepareandtestafurther specimensothatthenumberofvalidresultsisnotlessthansix.
