    8、n prepared under the direction of the Road Engineering Standards Committee. It is identical with ISO4510-1:1987 “Earth-moving machinery Service tools Part 1: Common maintenance and adjustment tools”, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This Part of BS6913 supersede

    9、s BS5485-1:1987, which is withdrawn. ISO 4510-1 was produced as a result of international discussion in which the UK took an active part. Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviation. Some te

    10、rminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is drawn especially to the following. The comma has been used as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal marker. Wherever the w

    11、ords “part of ISO4510” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as “Part of BS6913”. Reference is also made in the bibliography to ISO1085, ISO1174, ISO2380, ISO2725, ISO2936, ISO3315, ISO3316 and ISO3318. As these standards are referred to for information only the validity of this Pa

    12、rt of BS6913 is not affected. A related British Standard to ISO1085:1974 and ISO3318:1982 is BS192:1982 “Specification for open-ended wrenches”.     18、 ISO6165. Manufacturers should choose suitable tools from Table 1 for normal maintenance and routine adjustment work, and specify in suitable manuals, as described in ISO6750, the type of tools to be used for carrying out such maintenance and adjustment work. 2 References ISO 263, ISO inch screw thr

There is not, therefore, an automatic inch equivalent for every metric size shown. 4 Application of hand tool groups The Annex outline
