    7、eword This Part of this British Standard, published under the direction of the Electronic Components Standards Committee, is identical with IEC Publication 512-4 “Electromechanical components for electronic equipment; basic testing procedures and measuring methods Part 4: Dynamic stress tests” publi

    8、shed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It should be read in conjunction with Part 1 “General” of BS5772(IEC 512) which contains information on fundamental test methods and procedures to be employed in implementing the requirements of this standard. Terminology and conventions.

    9、The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards. Additional information. The scope of this British Standard is as given in B

    10、S5772-1:1979. Part 4 of this standard prescribes the acceleration, steady state, bump, shock and vibration tests. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a Bri

    14、r electromechanical components within the scope of Technical Committee No. 48. 1) They may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. 1 Test 6a: Acceleration, steady state 1.1 Object The object of this test is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability of

    15、components to withstand specified severities of acceleration. 1.2 Mounting of specimen The specimen shall be mounted as specified in the detail specification. 1.3 General requirements 1.3.1 This test shall be conducted in accordance with IEC Publication 68-2-7, Basic Environmental Testing Procedures

    16、, Part 2: Tests Test Ga:Acceleration, Steady State, using the degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 1.3.2 Unless otherwise specified, each specimen shall be wired according to the manufacturers instructions. 1.3.3 Specimens shall be tested in a manner such that all mechanical fea

    17、tures, such as panel-mounting arrangements, locking and retaining devices, are fully utilized. 1.3.4 The measurements specified in Sub-clause1.4 shall be carried out prior to the test, except those which have been carried out during the final measurements of the preceding test. 1.4 Testing requireme

    18、nts 1.4.1 Contacts shall be monitored continuously during this test. Unless otherwise specified in the detail specification, during the test monitoring of the electrical continuity shall be carried out on contacts and screen, where fitted, connected in series. 1.4.2 At the conclusion of the test, th

    19、e specimen shall be subjected to the following tests unless otherwise specified in the detail specification: 1.4.2.1 Visual examination The specimen shall be visually examined without dismantling. There shall be no loosening, displacement of parts or mechanical damage such as to impair operation. 1.

    20、4.2.2 Operational check The mechanical operational characteristics shall be checked according to the detail specification. 1.4.2.3 Contact resistance The contact resistance shall be measured in accordance with the detail specification and shall not exceed the maximum specified value. 1.4.2.4 Sealing

    21、 The specimen shall be subjected to the sealing test specified in the detail specification. Leakage rate across all seals, including panel seals, shall be not greater than specified in the detail specification. 1.5 Details to be specified When this test is required by the detail specification, the f

    22、ollowing details shall be specified in addition to those specified in Test Ga of IECPublication68-2-7: a) method of mounting specimen and associated cable(s)/wire bundle, including the unsupported length of cable from contact to first clamp; b) severity, acceleration level; c) severity, duration; d)

    23、 axes and direction of acceleration; e) type of cable/wire bundle, its size and length; f) operational characteristics to be checked (both during and after acceleration); g) applicable electrical continuity test method, contact resistance test method and the contacts to be monitored (in the case of

    24、switches, the operating conditions) and requirements; and h) any deviation from the standard test method and/or conditions. 1) Scope of Technical Committee No. 48: To prepare International Standards regarding components having an inherent electromechanical connecting or switching function, intended

    25、for use in equipment for telecommunication and in electronic devices employing similar techniques. NOTE 1R.F. connectors will not be dealt with by this Technical Committee as they will be covered by Technical Committee No. 46 together with r.f. cables. NOTE 2Sockets for components such as crystals o

    26、r electronic tubes shall be considered in co-operation with the relevant Technical Committee.BS5772-4:1979 2 BSI 09-1999 2 Test 6b: Bump 2.1 Object The object of this test is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability of components to withstand specified severities of bump. 2.2 Mounting

    27、of specimen The specimen shall be mounted as specified in the detail specification. 2.3 General requirements 2.3.1 This test shall be conducted in accordance with IEC Publication68-2-29, Test Eb: Bump, using the degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 2.3.2 Unless otherwise specifi

    28、ed, each specimen shall be wired according to the manufacturers instructions. 2.3.3 Specimens shall be tested in a manner such that all mechanical features, such as panel-mounting arrangements, locking and retaining devices, are fully utilized. 2.3.4 The measurements specified in Sub-clause2.4 shall

    29、 be carried out prior to the test, except those which have been carried out during the final measurements of the preceding test. 2.4 Testing requirements 2.4.1 Unless otherwise specified in the detail specification, during the last 200 bumps monitoring of the electrical continuity shall be carried o

    30、ut on contacts and screen, where fitted, connected in series. 2.4.2 At the conclusion of the test, the specimen shall be subjected to the following tests unless otherwise specified in the detail specification: 2.4.2.1 Visual examination The specimen shall be visually examined without dismantling. Th

    31、ere shall be no loosening, displacement of parts or mechanical damage such as to impair operation. 2.4.2.2 Operational check The mechanical operational characteristics shall be checked according to the detail specification. 2.4.2.3 Contact resistance The contact resistance shall be measured in accor

    32、dance with the detail specification and shall not exceed the maximum specified value. 2.4.2.4 Sealing The specimen shall be subjected to the sealing test specified in the detail specification. Leakage rate across all seals, including panel seals, shall not be greater than specified in the detail spe

    33、cification. 2.5 Details to be specified When this test is required by the detail specification, the following details shall be specified in addition to those specified in Test Eb of IECPublication68-2-29: a) type of cable/wire bundle, its size, length and method of mounting, including the unsupporte

    34、d length of cable from contact to first clamp; b) operational characteristics to be checked; c) contacts to be monitored (or other characteristics appropriate to the particular component); d) contact resistance test method(s) to be used; e) any deviation from the standard test method and/or conditio

    35、ns. 3 Test 6c: Shock 3.1 Object The object of this test is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability of components to withstand specified severities of shock. 3.2 Mounting of specimen The specimen shall be mounted as specified in the detail specification. 3.3 General requirements 3.3.1

    36、This test shall be conducted in accordance with IEC Publication68-2-27, Test Ea: Shock, using the pulse shape and degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 3.3.2 Unless otherwise specified, each specimen shall be wired according to the manufacturers instructions. 3.3.3 Specimens shal

    37、l be tested in a manner such that all mechanical features, such as panel-mounting arrangements, locking and retaining devices, are fully utilized. 3.3.4 The measurements specified in Sub-clause3.4 shall be carried out prior to the test, except those which have been carried out during the final measu

    43、rity, duration; d) axes and direction of shock; e) pulse shape; f) operational characteristics to be checked; g) contacts to be monitored (or other characteristics appropriate to the particular component), and contact resistance test method(s) to be used; h) any deviation from the standard test meth

    44、od and/or conditions. 4 Test 6d: Vibration 4.1 Object The object of this test is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability of components to withstand specified severities of vibration. 4.2 Mounting of specimen The specimen shall be mounted as specified in the detail specification. 4.3 G

    45、eneral requirements 4.3.1 This test shall be conducted in accordance with IEC Publication68-2-6, Test Fc: Vibration (sinusoidal), using the degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 4.3.2 Unless otherwise specified, each specimen shall be wired according to the manufacturers instruct

    46、ions. 4.3.3 Specimens shall be tested in a manner such that all mechanical features, such as panel-mounting arrangements, locking and retaining devices, are fully utilized. 4.3.4 The measurements specified in Sub-clause4.4 shall be carried out prior to the test, except those which have been carried

    47、out during the final measurements of the preceding test. 4.4 Testing requirements 4.4.1 Unless otherwise specified in the detail specification, during the whole of the last frequency sweep in both directions monitoring of the electrical continuity shall be carried out on contacts and screen, where f

    48、itted, connected in series. 4.4.2 The specimen shall be vibrated in each of three mutually perpendicular directions, one of which shall be parallel to the axis of the specimen. 4.4.3 At the conclusion of the test the specimen shall be subjected to the following tests unless otherwise specified in th

    49、e detail specification: 4.4.3.1 Visual examination The specimen shall be visually examined according to Test 1a of IEC Publication512-2, without dismantling. There shall be no loosening, displacement of parts or mechanical damage such as to impair operation. 4.4.3.2 Operational check The mechanical operational characteristics shall be checked according to the detail specification. 4.4.3.3 Contact resistance The contact resistance shall be measured in accordance with the detail specification and shall not exceed the maximum specified value. 4.4.3.4 Sealing The specimen sh
