Scope1.1 This practice provides supplemental requirements tothose ofANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 for bodies that certify personnelengaged in inspection and testing of construction activities andmaterials used in construction, including Special Inspection.ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 provides generic r
4、equirements that canbe adapted to any discipline where assurance that certifiedindividual meets the requirements of the certification scheme.Therefore, certification bodies certifying personnel engaged ininspection and testing of construction activities and materialsused in construction, including S
5、pecial Inspection, must meetthe requirements of this practice and ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024.1.2 This practice may be used as a reference by:1.2.1 Developers of standards requiring personnel certifica-tion in inspection and testing of construction activities andmaterials used in construction, including Spec
6、ial Inspection, asa reference to harmonize terminology and reduce confusionamong users;1.2.2 Personnel certification bodies that establish criteriaand certify construction inspection, construction testing, andSpecial Inspection agency personnel against specificrequirements,1.2.3 Accreditation bodies
