Scope1.1 The purpose of this guide is to establish ethical require-ments for all individuals engaged in forensic p

    3、sychophysi-ological detection of deception (PDD).1.2 All individuals engaged in the practice of conductingPDD examinations shall adhere to this guide.2. Terminology3.1 For definitions of terms see Terminology E 2035.4. Summary of Practice4.1 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examine

    5、r tocircumvent or attempt to circumvent, violate, or attempt toviolate any of the following.4.1.1 (Standard #), and4.1.2 Any legislative act which regulates or governs the useof PDD.4.2 When restricted, PDD examiners employed in publiclaw enforcement shall not engage in private PDD testing forcrimin

    6、al defense attorneys or post-conviction/clinical sex of-fender treatment providers. The PDD examiners who conductexaminations in both a law enforcement and private capacityshall strive to avoid situations in which a conflict of interestmay exist.4.3 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examine

    7、r torelease any unauthorized information except when required.4.4 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examiner ortheir employee or associate, with the PDD examiners knowl-edge, to engage in any type of advertising which would beconsidered false, deceptive, or misleading.4.5 It shall be consid

    8、ered unethical for a PDD examiner tofalsify or omit pertinent detail from any written report orrecord.4.6 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examiner tocause to alter any tracing(s) during a PDD examination toinfluence the outcome of that examination.4.7 It shall be considered unethical for

    9、a PDD examiner toadminister a PDD examination if it is determined that theexaminee is not physically or mentally suitable for the exami-nation.4.8 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examiner tosolicit or accept fees, gratuities, or gifts which are intended toinfluence the examiners opinion.4

    10、.8.1 Fees shall not be contingent on the results of theexamination.4.9 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examiner toform an opinion influenced by anything other than the PDDexamination.4.9.1 No other credibility assessment method shall be in-cluded in the PDD report.4.10 It shall be conside

    11、red unethical for a PDD examiner toinclude in any examination questions that are intended toinquire into or develop information on activities, affiliations, orbeliefs in religion, politics, or race, except where relevant.4.11 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examinerwho is also a mental he

    12、alth counselor, marriage counselor,and/or sex offender treatment provider to conduct a PDDexamination on any person who they are also actively coun-seling.4.12 It shall be considered unethical for a PDD examiner toportray themselves as having a particular educational degreeunless it was received fro
