1、Designation: D 7682 10Standard Test Method forReplication and Measurement of Concrete Surface ProfilesUsing Replica Putty1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 7682; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, t

2、he year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method is suitable for both field and laboratoryuse to obtain a permanent record of concrete surf

The depth ofthe surface profile has been shown to be a factor in coatingadhesion and performance.1.3 The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) pro-vides a means of visually judging a concrete surface by use ofnine different visual comparators called Concrete SurfaceProfiles (CSP). The values given in parentheses are for informationonly.1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is therespon

Summary of Test Method4.1 Method AReplica putty is used to obtain a replicacoupon of a concrete

The replica coupon is visually compared to the nineICRI Visual Comparators (CSP), or to a specific job standard.4.2 Method BReplica putty is used to obtain a replicacoupon of a concrete surface that has been abraded orroughened. The replica coupon is then

11、measured by a speciallydesigned micrometer to obtain a quantitative measurement ofsurface profile (depth).5. Significance and Use5.1 For proper bonding of overlays and coatings, it isimportant that a concrete surface have the correct surfaceprofile. This test method allows one to obtain a permanentr

12、eplica of the concrete surface, which can then be compared tovisual profile standards, or evaluated quantitatively for profiledepth. The permanent replica may also prove useful in resolv-ing future disputes.6. Apparatus6.1 A set of nine ICRI CSP Comparators.36.2 Replica putty and plastic profiler.1T

26、s based on aninterlaboratory study of Test Method D7682 for Replicationand Measurement of Concrete Surface Profiles Using ReplicaPutty, conducted in 2009. Four laboratories participated in thisstudy. Each of the labs reported five replicate test results fornine different materials. Every “test resul

Except for the useof only four laboratories, Practice E691 was followed for thedesign and analysis of the data; the details are given in ASTMResearch Report RR: D011156.10.1.1 R

31、4 Any judgment in accordance with statements 10.1.1and 10.1.2 would normally have an approximate 95 % prob-ability of being correct, however the precision statistics ob-tained in this ILS must not be treated as exact mathematicalquantities which are applicable to all circumstances and uses. The limit

Consider the repeatability limit and the repro-duci

33、bility limit as general guides, and the associated probabil-ity of 95 % as only a rough indicator of what can be expected.10.2 BiasAt the time of the study, there was no acceptedreference material suitable for determining the bias for this testmethod, therefore no statement on bias is being made.10.

34、3 The precision statement was determined through sta-tistical examination of 180 results, from four laboratories, onnine specimens.
