    19、ment between the purchaser and thesupplier, comforter and accessory products intended for thisend use should meet all of the requirements listed in Table 1 ofthis specification.4.2 It is recognized that, for purposes of fashion oraesthetics, the ultimate consumer of articles made from thesefabrics m

    20、ay find acceptable products that do not conform to allof the requirements in Table 1. Therefore, one or more of therequirements in Table 1 may be modified by mutual agreementbetween the purchaser and the supplier.4.2.1 In such cases, any references to the specification shallspecify that: “This produ

These methods cannot be usedinterchangeably because there may be no overall correlation between them. See Notes 2-5.BClass in colorfa

    26、stness and SArating is baled on a numerical scale of 5.0 for negligible color change, color transfer, or wrinkling to 1.0 for vary severe color change, colortransfer or wrinkling.     27、g.D6663 08 (2013)24.3 Where no pre-purchase agreement has been reachedbetween the purchaser and the supplier, and in case ofcontroversy, the requirements listed in Table 1 are intended tobe used as a guide only. As noted in 4.2, ultimate consumerdemands dictate varying performance parameters for any

    28、particular product.4.4 The uses and significance of particular properties andtest methods are discussed in the appropriate sections of thespecified test methods. See Practice D1776.5. Sampling5.1 Acceptance Testing LotUnless agreed otherwise, con-sider as a lot for acceptance testing all material of

    29、 a single itemas a single shipment.5.2 Lot Samples and Laboratory SamplesFor acceptancetesting, take lot samples and laboratory samples as directed ineach of the applicable test methods.5.3 SpecimensTake the number of specimens directed ineach of the applicable test methods. Perform the tests on the

    30、product as it reaches the consumer. Any “partially finished” or“post-finish” fabrics should be processed in accordance withthe fabric manufacturers instructions.5.3.1 If the applicable, test method does not specify thenumber of specimens, use the procedures in Practice D2905 todetermine the number o

    31、f specimens per laboratory sample unit.5.3.2 Use a reliable estimate of the variability of individualobservations on similar materials in the users laboratory, a95 % probability level, and an allowable difference of 5 % ofthe average between the test results on laboratory samplingunits and the avera

    32、ge for the laboratory sampling unit.5.3.3 The average for a laboratory sampling unit is theaverage that would be obtained by applying the test method toall of the potential specimens from the laboratory samplingunit.6. Specification Requirements6.1 The properties of institutional and household comfo

    33、rterand accessory products shall conform to the specificationrequirements in Table 1 or by mutual agreement between thepurchaser and the supplier.7. Test Methods7.1 FabricThe physical and colorfastness properties ofthe fabrics in the woven and knit comforter products shall beevaluated as directed as

    34、 follows:7.1.1 Breaking ForceDetermine the breaking force asdirected in Test Method D5034, using a constant-rate-oftraverse CRT-type tensile testing machine with the speed of thepulling jaw at 300 610 mm/min (12.0 6 0.5 in/min).NOTE 2If preferred, a constant-rate-of, extension CRE-type testingmachin

    35、e may be used. The crosshead speed should be the same speed asfor the (CRT) or as agreed upon between the purchaser and the supplier.There may be no overall correlation between the results obtained with theCRT-type machine and with the CRE-type machine. Consequently, thesetwo breaking force testers

    36、cannot be used interchangeably. In case ofcontroversy, use of the CRT-type machine shall prevail.7.1.2 Bursting StrengthDetermine the bursting strength ofknit fabrics as directed in Test Method D3786 or Test MethodD3787 as agreed upon between the purchaser and the supplier.NOTE 3There is no overall

    37、correlation between the results obtainedwith the CRT-type machine equipped with a bursting attachment and thediaphragm bursting tester. Consequently, these two bursting testers cannotbe used interchangeably. In the case of controversy, the motor-driventester in Test Method D3786 shall prevail.NOTE 4

    38、The precision of the bursting strength testers has not beenestablished. The methods are accordingly not recommended for accep-tance testing unless preceded by an interlaboratory check in the labora-tories of the purchaser and supplier, using randomized replicate specimensof the material to be evalua

    39、ted.7.1.3 PillingDetermine pilling as directed in Test MethodD3512 with a test time (run time) of 30 min.7.1.4 Dimensional ChangeDetermine the maximum di-mensional change after refurbishing five times followingpermanently attached care label instructions or as directed inAATCC Test Method 135 for ho

    40、usehold use, AATCC TestMethod 158 for drycleaning, or AATCC Test Method 96 forinstitutional use or as agreed upon between the purchaser andthe supplier.7.1.4.1 If there is no attached care label, the refurbishingconditions shall be as specified by the supplier when usingAATCC Test Method 135 for hou

    41、sehold products,AATCC TestMethod 158 for drycleaning, or AATCC Test Method 96 forinstitutional products.7.1.4.2 When chlorine bleach is to be used, introduce onecup of any liquid chlorine household bleach containing 5.25 %sodium-hypochlorite (5.0 % available chlorine) into the washerin the manner di

    42、rected on the bleach container.7.1.4.3 When non-chlorine bleach is to be used, introduce itinto the washer in the amount and manner directed on thecontainer.7.1.5 AppearanceDetermine the smoothness appearanceof the fabrics after five launderings as directed in AATCC TestMethod 124 unless otherwise a

    43、greed upon between the pur-chaser and the supplier.7.1.6 Bow and SkewnessBefore and after refurbishingdetermine the bow and skewness of the comforter fabrics orproducts as directed in Test Method D3882 with tolerances asstated in Table 1 or as agreed upon between the purchaser andsupplier.7.1.7 Colo

    44、rfastness:7.1.7.1 LaunderingDetermine the colorfastness to laun-dering as directed in AATCC Test Method 61 unless otherwiseagreed upon between the purchaser and the supplier.7.1.7.2 DrycleaningFor drycleanable fabrics determinethe colorfastness to drycleaning as directed in AATCC TestMethod 132.7.1.

    45、7.3 CrockingDetermine the colorfastness to dry andwet crocking as directed in AATCC Test Method 8 for solidshades and AATCC Test Method 116 for prints or as agreedupon between the purchaser and the supplier.7.1.7.4 LightDetermine the colorfastness to light as di-rected in AATCC Test Method 16, Optio

    46、n A or E.NOTE 5In case of controversy, AATCC Test Method 16, Option 3shall prevail.D6663 08 (2013)37.1.7.5 PerspirationDetermine the colorfastness to per-spiration as directed in AATCC Test Method 15.7.1.7.6 FlammabilityThe flammability requirements shallbe as agreed upon between the purchaser and t

    47、he supplier,except when regulated by applicable government mandatorystandards. If flammability is to be tested, Test Method D1230can be used as the method of evaluation; test only as receivedand not refurbished.7.2 Product:7.2.1 AppearanceBefore and after refurbishing, evaluatethe appearance of fabr

    48、ic and all component parts, such asseams and trim. Mount and evaluate as directed in Section 7 ofAATCC Test Method 143 using appropriate standards asdescribed in AATCC Test Method 88B and 124. Acceptanceperformance requirements shall be as agreed upon between thepurchaser and the supplier.7.2.1.1 Ev

    49、aluate the filling distribution after refurbishing,using AATCC Test Method 143.7.2.2 Fill LeakageNo acceptable standard method is yetavailable for the determination of this fabric property. Depend-ing on the type of fill used during the manufacture of thecomforter, and the cover factor of face and back fabrics, varieddegrees of fill leakage may occur, and this property can only beevaluated on the assembled comforter. Hence, the, degree ofpermissible fill leakage should be agreed upon by the purchaserand the supplier.8. Conformance8.1 When the p
