This quantity is specified in otherASTMd
17、ocuments on pavement markings and is not part of pavementmarking nighttime color specification. Research has shown thatthe nighttime color as specified by chromaticity is sufficientand adequate for the color naming of the material as viewedunder nighttime conditions.5.2 Daytime Lightness Limits (Y T

(The 45/0 and0/45 geometry is the current standard practice for thesemeasurements.NOTE 1Daytime luminance factor testing of pavement markingsexcludes structured materials. Specimen Preparation6.1 The test specimen shall be measured mounted on a flattest panel with a minimum test area of 0.1 m2in size. Typicaltest panels are 100 by 1000 mm.7. 26、st method is primarily alaboratory procedure, and may not be convenient for use in the field forthe measurement of material in service.
