Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of the 60specular gloss of films of emulsion floor polish after applica-tion to a

3、substrate.NOTE 1Specular gloss is one of several related appearance attributesthat produce the sensation of glossiness. For this reason, specular glossmeasurements may not always correlate well with visual rankings ofglossiness.1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,

4、 if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. Significance and Use4.1 This test method may be used to evaluate the differencein gloss of dried films of emulsion floor polishes when the lightreflected at a 60 angle is measured. Extremely high- orlow-gloss polishes may not be dif

Where a hazy film isproduced, black glass should not be employed as the substrate. The standard types are as follows:6.1.1 Black Glass,3,4having a highly polished plane surfacewith a ref

Procedure7.1 Apply the floor polish to the substrate in accordancewith the procedures described in Test Methods D1436. MethodA, using the automatic dip coater, can be expected to givebetter agreement of results. For com
