Ordering Information3.1 The purchaser shall specify the material desired as“grout fluidifier for preplaced-aggregate concrete.” The mate-rial shall meet the requirements of this specification.4. Materials4.1 Grout ingredien

    9、ts shall conform to the following re-quirements:4.1.1 Portland cement shall meet the requirements of Speci-fication C 150 for the type to be used.4.1.2 Pozzolan shall meet the requirements of SpecificationC 618.4.1.3 Fine aggregate shall meet the requirements of Speci-fication C 33 except that gradi

Composition6.1 The fluidifier shall be composed of materials that willyield a product having the properties stipulated under PhysicalRequirements when tested in accordan

    15、ce with this specifica-tion.7. Sampling7.1 The test sample of fluidifier shall have a mass of at least225g(12 lb) and shall be representative of the materialsupplied. When feasible, the test sample shall be compositedfrom grab samples taken from not fewer than four packagesselected at random.8. Test

    16、 Method8.1 Summary of MethodPhysical properties of grout con-taining fluidifier are determined and compared with corre-sponding properties of grout made without fluidifier.8.2 Significance and UseThe effects of adding fluidifier toa standard grout mixture are determined in order to evaluate itsabili

    17、ty to reduce mixing water, prevent early stiffening, holdsolid constituents in suspension, produce controlled expansionprior to initial setting, and maintain or increase compressivestrength.8.3 Procedure:8.3.1 Have all grout materials including mixing water at23.0 6 2.0C (73.5 6 3.5F) at the start o

    18、f the test.8.3.2 Maintain the laboratory and curing room at 23.0 62.0C (73.5 6 3.5F) at all times during testing.8.3.3 Grout Preparation:8.3.3.1 Proportion two grout mixtures, one a control mix-ture without and one a test mixture with the grout fluidifierunder consideration, each containing equal pa

    19、rts, by weight, ofcementitious material and fine aggregate, with sufficient waterto produce a grout efflux time by Test Method C 939 of 21 62 s. The cementitious material shall consist of two partsportland cement to one part of pozzolan, by weight.8.3.3.2 The test mixture shall contain grout fluidif

    20、ier equalto 1% of the combined weight of portland cement pluspozzolan; unless otherwise recommended by the manufacturer.The control mixture shall contain no fluidifier.8.3.3.3 The volume of each batch shall be approximately0.03 m3(1 ft3).8.3.3.4 Mix grout in a mixer of the type shown in Fig. 1 ofPra

    21、ctice C 938. Dampen the inside of the drum, start the mixerand charge ingredients within a period of 2 min in thefollowing order: water, fluidifier (if used), pozzolan, cement,and fine aggregate. Mix for 3 to 314 min.8.3.3.5 Determine time of efflux by Test Method C 939. Ifwithin acceptable range, p

    22、roceed with tests to provide datarequired for the calculations.8.4 CalculationsCalculate the following items:8.4.1 Reduction in water requirement ( Rw):Rw5Wc2 Wt! 3 100Wc(1)where:Rw= reduction in water requirement, %,Wc= mass of water required in grout mixture withoutfluidifier, andWt= mass of water

    25、ime, h,8.5.7 Final setting time, h,8.5.8 Compressive strength at 7 days, psi or MPa, and8.5.9 Compressive strength at 28 days, psi or MPa.8.5.10 The following computed values shall also be re-ported:8.5.11 Reduction in water requirement, Rw%,8.5.12 Increase in water retentivity, Ir%, and8.5.13 Compr

Rejection9.1 The fluidifier shall be rejected if it fails to meet any ofthe requirements of this specification.10. Packaging and Marking10.1 Grout fluidifier shall be packaged in moisture-resistantcontainers and stored in

    27、 a dry covered area to prevent deterio-ration.10.2 Containers shall be marked to provide at least thefollowing information:10.2.1 A statement to the effect that the contained materialmeets the requirements of this specification.10.2.2 Weight of the contained material.10.2.3 Basic instructions for us
