、Designation: C330/C330M 09Standard Specification forLightweight Aggregates for Structural Concrete1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C330/C330M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last rev

、ision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers lightweight aggreg

、ates in-tended for use in structural concrete in which prime consider-ations are reducing the density while maintaining the compres-sive strength of the concrete. Procedures covered in thisspecification are not intended for job control of concrete.1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pou

、nd unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the other. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard.1.2.1 With regard to other units of mea

、sure, the valuesstated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard.1.3 The text of this standard references notes and footnoteswhich provide explanatory material. These notes and footnotes(excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be consideredas requirements of the standard.NOTE 1This

、 specification is regarded as adequate to ensure satisfac-tory lightweight aggregates for most concrete. It is recognized that it maybe either more or less restrictive than needed for some conditions and forspecial purposes, such as fire resistance, fill, and concrete constructions, the use of which
