Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of freemoisture in ceramic whiteware clays. Whiteware clays may beshipped as a bulk
3、 shipment in lumps, a bulk shipment ofshredded or coarsely ground clay, or in bagged lots of groundor airfloated clay. Directions are given in this test method forobtaining representative samples of the clay shipment to beused in subsequent tests for the properties of the clay in theshipment.1.2 Thi

The sample submitted for testing shall weighnot less than 1000 g and shall be kept in an airtight containerto prevent loss o
6、f water before testing.4. Procedure4.1 Remove the sample of clay from its container. Weighabout 500 g of the sample to the nearest 0.1 g. Spread out theweighed portion of the sample in a weighed shallow metal orporcelain container, and dry at 100 to 110C for 24 h in adrying oven. Reweigh the dried c
