46、 InformationX1.1 The properties of spray-applied polyurethane thermalinsulation may vary depending on such factors as the thicknessof the foam sprayed, the temperature and type of substrate, theambient temperature and humidity, the number of spray passes, and the output of the equipment. The properti

47、es may also varydepending on different manufacturers liquid components.X1.2 Spray-applied polyurethane thermal insulation generallyexhibits its highest thermal resistance at the time of manufac-ture. The thermal resistance may be significantly influenced byinstallation and service-related variables

48、such as age, foamthickness, type of coating, environmental conditions and me-chanical abuse. These variables may cause the thermal resis-tance to be reduced from measured initial values.X1.3 The application of a suitable vapor retarder may berequired in conjunction with this insulation. In exteriori

49、nstallations, coatings or coverings are necessary for protectionfrom the elements and should be applied on the same day.X1.4 Rigid-cellular polyurethane thermal insulation is com-bustible to varying degrees when exposed to an ignition sourceor high temperatures, or both. In interior installations, thepolyurethane thermal insulation shall be covered by an ap-proved thermal barrier the same day it is spray applied.3X1.5 Consult local building and fire code regulations, insur-ance requirements, and the manufacturers spec
