    29、h finished tube shall be subjected to the pneumatic test and the eddy current test. Tubes larger than112 in. (38.1 mm) in outside diameter may be subjected to the hydrostatic test in lieu of the pneumatic test at the manufacturersoption.5. Ordering Information5.1 It is the responsibility of the purc

    30、haser to specify all requirements that are necessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such requirements include, but are not limited to the following:5.1.1 Alloy (Table 1),5.1.2 Class (see 4),5.1.3 Quantity (feet or number of lengths),5.1.4 Size (outside diameter and average

    31、 wall thickness),5.1.5 Length (cut or random),5.1.6 CertificationState if certification or a report of test results is required,5.1.7 Purchaser InspectionState which tests or inspections are to be witnessed,5.1.8 EndsPlain ends cut and deburred will be furnished, unless otherwise specified, and5.1.9

    32、 Samples for Product (Check) AnalysisState whether samples shall be furnished.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 The tubes shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an automatic welding process with no addition of filler metal.6.2 Subsequent to welding and prior to final heat treatment, Class II and Clas

    33、s III tubes shall be cold worked either in both weldand base metal or in weld metal only. The method and amount of cold working may be specified by the purchaser. When colddrawn, the purchaser may specify the minimum amount of reduction in cross-sectional area or wall thickness, or both.6.3 All tube

    34、s shall be furnished in the solution annealed and descaled condition. When atmosphere control is used, descalingis not necessary.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the requirements for chemical composition prescribed in Table 1. One test is required for eachlot as defined in Sp

    35、ecification B751.7.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by the purchaser, the material shall conform to the requirements specified in Table1 subject to permissible variations specified in Specification B751.8. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements8.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material

    36、shall conform to the mechanical properties prescribed in Table 2. One test is requiredfor each lot as defined in Specification B751.8.2 Flattening Test Requirements:8.2.1 Evidence of laminated or unsound material or of incomplete weld that is revealed during the entire flattening test shallbe cause

    37、for rejection.8.2.2 Surface imperfections in the test specimens before flattening, but revealed during the flattening test, shall be judged inaccordance with the finish requirements.8.2.3 Superficial ruptures resulting from surface imperfections shall not be cause for rejection.8.2.4 One test is req

    38、uired for each lot as defined in Specification B751.8.3 Flange Test Requirements:8.3.1 Flange test specimens shall show no cracking or flaws. Superficial ruptures resulting from surface imperfections shall notbe cause for rejection.8.3.2 For tube less than 0.093 in. (2.36 mm) in inside diameter and

    39、tube having a wall thickness equal to or greater than theinside diameter, the flange test shall not be required.8.3.3 One test is required for each lot as defined in Specification B751.8.4 Hydrostatic TestWhen tested by the manufacturer, each tube shall be subjected to the hydrostatic test per Speci

    40、ficationB751.8.5 Pneumatic TestWhen tested by the manufacturer, each tube shall be subjected to the pneumatic test per SpecificationB751.8.6 Eddy Current TestWhen tested by the manufacturer, each tube shall be subjected to an electromagnetic (eddy current) testper Specification B751.B626 1749.
