ASTM A841 A841M-2003a(2007) Standard Specification for Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels Produced by Thermo-Mechanical Control Process (TMCP)《压力容器用温度机械控制工艺加工的钢板标准规范》.pdf

1、Designation: A 841/A 841M 03a (Reapproved 2007)Standard Specification forSteel Plates for Pressure Vessels, Produced by Thermo-Mechanical Control Process (TMCP)1This standard is issued under the fixed designationA 841/A 841M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof orig

A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification2covers steel plates produced by thethermo-m

3、echanical control process (TMCP). The plates areintended primarily for use in welded pressure vessels.1.2 The TMCP method consists of rolling-reduction andcooling rate controls that result in mechanical properties in thefinished plate that are equivalent to those attained usingconventional rolling a

4、nd heat treating processes, which entailreheating after rolling. A description of the TMCP method isgiven in Appendix X1.1.3 Due to the inherent characteristics of the TMCP method, the plates cannot be formed at elevated temperatures withoutsustaining significant losses in strength and toughness. The

5、plates may be formed and post-weld heat-treated at tempera-tures not exceeding 1200F 650C, providing the require-ments of 6.1 are met.1.4 The maximum permitted nominal thickness of platesfurnished to this specification is 4 in. 100 mm for Grades A,B, and C; and 1.5 in. 40 mm for Grades D,3E, and F.1

6、.5 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, theSI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in eachsystem are not exact equivalents. Therefore, each system mustbe used independently of the other. Combining values from th

THERMO-MECHANICAL CONTROLED PROCESSING (TMCP)X1.1 IntroductionThe Thermo-Mechanical ControledProcessing, commonly referred to as “TMCP,” has evolvedfrom the “controlled rolling” (CR) processes, which have bee

48、nknown and used for a number of years. TMCP producesfine-grained steel by a combination of chemical compositionand integrated controls of manufacturing processes from slabreheating to post-rolling cooling, thereby achieving the speci-fied mechanical properties in the required plate thicknesses.TMCP

49、requires accurate control of both the steel temperatureand rolling reductions, and does not involve coiling after thepost- cooling.X1.2 Outline of TMCPAs shown in Fig. X1.1, TMCPmay incorporate three processes, as follows:A 841/A 841M 03a (2007)4X1.2.1 Thermo-Mechanical Rolling (TMR)Steels of finegrain size are produced by rolling in the recrystallization andthe nonrecrystallization region
