Process5.1 The steel shall be made from any process.5.1.1 If a specific type of melting is required by thepurchaser, it shall be stated on the purchase order.5.1.2 The primary melting may incorporate separate degas-sing or refining
20、 and may be followed by secondary melting,using electroslag remelting or vacuum remelting. If secondarymelting is employed, the heat shall be defined as all of theingots remelted from a single primary heat.5.1.3 Steel may be cast in ingots or may be strand cast.When steel of different grades is sequ
