Chemical Analysis4.1 The chemical analysis method shall be agreed upon bythe purchaser and supplier.4.2 The manufacturer shall furnish a certificate referencingthe chemical analysis and appropriate supplementary require-ments in the mate

    16、rial specification.4.3 For purposes of determining conformance with thisspecification, the reported analysis shall be rounded to thenearest unit in the last right-hand place of figures, used inexpressing the limiting value, in accordance with the roundingmethod of Practice E29.5. Sampling5.1 Unless

    17、otherwise specified, the material shall besampled for determination of chemical composition in accor-dance with Practices E32 and for determination of size inaccordance with Test Methods A610.5.2 In the case of a discrepancy, Practices E32 or TestMethods A610, as applicable, shall be used for refere

Inspection6.1 The manufacturer shall afford the inspector representingthe purchaser all reasonable facilities, without charge, to satisfythe purchaser that the material is being furnished in accordancewith the material specification.7. Rejection7.1 Any rejections based on tests made in accordan

    19、ce withthe material specification shall be reported to the manufacturerwithin 45 days from receipt of material by the purchaser.8. Certification8.1 The manufacturers certification shall be furnished tothe purchaser at the time of shipment stating that the materialwas manufactured, sampled, tested, a

    20、nd inspected in accor-dance with the material specification and was found to meet therequirements.9. Packaging and Package Marking9.1 Each lot/shipment shall be identified with appropriateidentification showing the material, the ASTM designation, thesize, the lot number, and name brand or trademark.

    21、9.2 When the shipment is made in containers, each shall bemarked on the container or on a label or tag attached to thecontainer.10. Keywords10.1 alloying materials; ferroalloy; general requirementsSUPPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTSThe following standardized supplementary requirements are for use when desire

    22、d by the purchaserand when allowed by and listed in the individual specifications. They shall not apply unless specifiedin order, in which event the specified tests shall be made by the manufacturer before shipping.S1. Supplementary Chemical RequirementsS1.1 Restrictions on the chemical requirements

    23、 shall beagreed upon by the purchaser and supplier.S2. SizeS2.1 Screened products shall conform to the sizes given inTable S2.1.S2.2 The sizes listed in Table S2.1 are typical as shippedfrom the manufacturers plant. The size and friability of theproduct shall be agreed upon by the purchaser and supp

A quantitative testis not available for rating friability of ferroalloys. A code system has beendeveloped for this purpose, and a number rating for each product type isgiv
