The ASME A17 Standards Committee opened a technical revision in 1997 to fully addressthe safety issues regarding such installations and subsequently formed an Ad Hoc Committeeto formulate the proposal. The Ad Hoc Committee

31、, which was bi-national with nearly equalmembership from both the United States and Canada, developed the requirements necessary toaddress the safety aspects of the installation of equipment whether it is located in traditionalmachine rooms, control rooms, or in machinery spaces and control spaces i

Over a period of 6 years the revisions were refined by the Ad-Hoc Committee and theA17 Standards Committee through the ASME/ANSI consensus process. The revisions contained in this Supplement went through numerous ballots to all of the membersof the A17 Standards Committ
