2、-dimensional cases are consistent if l is formally defined as the ratio of inlet area to inlet perimeter. This should read: definitions of inlet width for the axisymmetric and three-dimensional cases are consistent if l is defined to be twice the inlet area divided by the inlet perimeter length (i.e., the hydraulic radius).
