In exceptional circumstances, however, the publication of a Technical Report of one of the following types may be proposed: type 1, the subject is still under technical development requiring wider exposur

    7、e; type 2, a Technical Domain has collected data of a different kind from that which is normally published as a European Standard. The Electrical Domain decided to publish this document in the form of a Technical Report of type 2, as it contains only general guidelines. Page 4 TR 4732:11-2015 (E) In

    8、troduction The aim of this Technical Report is to describe applicable test methods for alternative plating validation for connectors and accessories. 1 Scope This Technical Report specifies necessary tests and methods to validate alternative plating compatible with cadmium and chromium VI existing p

    9、lating. 2 Normative references The following documents, in whole or in part, are normatively referenced in this document and are indispensable for its application. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including a

    11、g the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency, amending Directive 1999/45/EC and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No. 793/93 and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1488/94 as well as Council Directive 76/769/EEC and Commiss

    12、ion Directives 91/155/EEC, 93/67/EEC, 93/105/EC and 2000/21/EC (OJ L 396, 30.12.2006) 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 green zero substance of Authorization List (Annex XIV) of ECHA publied on official journal (JOUE 108, 14/04/

    13、2013) added by any Intermediary of the Supply Chain or used in the manufacturing process 3.2 manufacturing process the manufacturing process begins with the creation of the materials from which the design is made. These materials are then modified through manufacturing processes to become the requir

    14、ed part. Manufacturing processes include treating (such as heat treating or plating), machining, molding or reshaping the material.     15、ion is obtained: By conducting qualification tests required for this class in the relevant EN technical specification; By conducting intermariability tests with cadmium plating defined in Clause 6 and other relevant plating; By demonstrating that the manufacturing process does not use any following

    16、substance: Cadmium, Hexavalent chromium, Reach, authorization List “Annex XIV” substance of ECHA publied on official journal (JOUE 108, 14/04/2013). 5 Tests Tests according to EN 2591-100, see Table 1. Page 9 TR 4732:11-2015 (E) 7 Sample distribution for cadmium replacement by a substitute 7.1 Description of specimen 7.1.1 Sampling for connector qualification Refer to the technical specification of the connecto

    37、r for the sizes and the groups. For each size: 1st specimen: plug with cadmium / receptacle with new class; 2nd specimen: receptacle with cadmium / plug with new class. 7.1.2 Sampling for rear accessories qualification Refer to the technical specification of the rear accessories for the sizes and th

    38、e groups. For each size: specimen: connector with cadmium / rear accessories with new class. In case of non-defined parameter, the tests should be conducted in the more severe configuration. For instance, grounding ring material is not defined in specification and could be plated with different solutions, the most penalizing one shall be chosen to achieve the test.
