、ditioning: One (1) straight specimen (type A); One (1) specimen of each bundle types B, C and/or D as specified in the product standard. Specimens for test with conditioning: One (1) straight specimen (Type A) per fluid. 5 Apparatus 5.1 List of apparatus The following shall be required for this test

、: a burner, a test fixture, and test fluids. prEN 6059-309:2016 (E) 6 5.2 Burner The burner shall be as described in Annex A of ISO 2685 (6 inch gas burner). Specimen length exposed to the flame: 150 mm; Flame temperature: 1 100 C 80 C measured 75 mm above the burner; Heat flux density received by t

、he calorimeter described in Annex B of ISO 2685: (116 10) kW/m2. 5.3 Test fixture Refer to Figures 3 and 4. The distance between the burner and the under side of the cable under test shall be 70 mm to 80 mm. The frame of the test fixture shall be vibrated with the following characteristics: Directio

、n perpendicular to the axis of the cable; Frequency: (30 5) Hz; Minimum acceleration: 4 g. 5.4 Fluids The test fluids listed below shall be in accordance with EN 3909. Aircraft fuel (kerosene); Hydraulic fluid (phosphate base); Lubricant (synthetic oil). 6 Method 6.1 Conditioning The conditioning is

、 only applicable to the test specimens which are to be exposed to fluid contamination. At ambient temperature the centre 300 mm m section of each specimen shall be heavily soaked five times by pouring fluid over the specimen in the fluid (see Figure 3). Each soaking is to be spaced 10 minutes apart.

、 After soaking the specimen shall be rested for between 16 h to 24 h, then any surplus fluid shall be removed with a lint free tissue. 6.2 Preparation The test shall be conducted in still air. Each sample shall be mounted onto a frame as shown in Figure 4. Test assembly shall be adjusted so that the

、 low side of the specimen is in the 1 100 C flame temperature zone. prEN 6059-309:2016 (E) 7 The sample shall be weighted, as shown in Figure 4, to maintain it straighten and without sag during vibrations. Each equipotential shall be connected to a circuit as shown in Figure 5. 7 Procedure The targe

、t is to record the insulation resistance between equipotentials and to measure the time to reach the minimum insulation resistance value according to the requirement. The test consists to measure according to the hereafter sequence, the insulation resistance between: Equipotential 1 with equipotenti

、al 2; Equipotential 1 with equipotential 6; Equipotential 3 with equipotential 4; Equipotential 3 with equipotential 6; Equipotential 4 with equipotential 5 (if applicable). This sequence shall be repeated permanently during the whole duration test. The continuity of each conductor shall be conform

、before test Circuit diagram shall be in accordance with Figure 5 where circuit X is the first indicated equipotential and circuit Y is the second indicated equipotential. Time to make one sequence (five (5) measurements) shall be less than 2,5 seconds. Flame time, the five (5) measurements and the f

、lame temperature shall be recorded for each sequence. Result shall be presented as a curve (linear scale for the time, logarithmic scale for the insulation resistance) Each sample shall be simultaneously subjected to the combined flame and vibration test. The test duration shall be: Five (5) minutes

、 for fire resistant harnesses; 15 minutes for fire proof harnesses. 8 Requirements Check electrical continuity Draw five (5) curves of insulation resistance in function of the time. All the points of curves must be above 10 k during the specified time: Five (5) minutes for fire resistant harnesses;

、ircuit diagram Vc.a., R1 and Um shall be chosen to allow a measurement of an isolation resistance scale from 1 k to 100 M. The test voltage shall be (60 10) V between circuits with a maximum short circuit current of 10 A. The continuity indicator load R2 and lamp L shall limit the standing current to be less than 0,5 A. Equivalent apparatus can be used.
