REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material.-Materials shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications . 3.2 Mine Dumm .-The dummy mine shall comply with all requiremen s specified on Drawing (Dw

    5、g) 9298325, and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications. thorough, workmanlike manner and shall be free of porosity, twist, warpage, heat marks, sinks, checks, cracks, chipped edges, burrs, blisters, scratches, excess flash, and other defects which would affect their serviceabil

    6、ity. All components shall be free of dirt, grease and other foreign matter. 3.3 Workmanship.-All components shall be fabricated in a 3.4 First Article Inspection.-This specification contains technical provisions for frst article inspection. for the submission of first article samples by the contract

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVCSIONS 4 . 1 Responsibility for Inspection and Stanard Qualzty Assurance provisions .-Unless otherwbe specifiea herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this deta

    8、il specification. 4.2 Classification of Inspections.-The following types of inspection shall be conducted on this item: a. First Article Inspection. b. Quality Conformance Inspection 4.3 First Article Inspection.- 4.3.1 Submission.-The contractor shall subat a first article sample as designated by t

    9、he Contracting Officer for evaluation in accordance with provisions of 4.3.2. The first article sample shall consist of ten (10) consecutively produced dummy mines from each cavity of each mold. (-The total quantity shall be ten times the number of cavities).     13、n provisions of MIL-A-48078, addition, inspection lots of Dummy Mines shall contain molding compound from one manufacturers batch. Molding Compound Batch.-A molding compound batch is herein defined as material from one manufacturers lot, pro- duced in one continuous unchanged process using raw mater

    14、ials from one homogeneous lot. In (See 4.4.1.1). 4.4.1.1 4.4.1.2 Dummy Mine Batch.-A batch of dummy mines herein defined as mines molded and cured in one unchm process using molding compound from one batch (See 4.4 - The mines in the batch shall consist of material mixed cured at one time. If a cont

    17、IHS-,-,- MIL-M-4bS 13 ei 777730b 03211973 O MIL-M-48869 (PA) 4.4.3 Testing.-Testing is described in the First Article and Quality Conformance Inspection Tables. 4.4.4 Inspection Equipment.-The inspection equipment re- quired to perform the examinations and tests prescribed herein is described in the

    18、 Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method colwiui in the tables starting with paragraph 4.4.2.1. “he contractor shall submit inspection equipment designs for approval in accor- dance with the terms of the contract. See MIL-A-48078. 4.5 Test Methods and Procedures 4.5.1 Compressive Force Test.-Each dumm

    19、y mine to be subjected to this test shall be tested on a suitable testing machine. Care shall be taken to assure that the platens are free of foreign material and that the wedge is axially centered on the lower pla- ten. The dummy mine shall be loaded at a crosshead speed of 0.050 + .O10 inches/minu

    20、tes. The load shall be applied until the force specified on the applicahle drawing is reached. load shall then be removed and observation made for any indication of cracks or fracture. Dummy Mines which pass this test may be returned to the lot provided they comply with the dimensional and visual ch

    21、aracteristics listed in 4.4.2.1. Dimensional contr.01 of molded or pastic parts. -In place of the normal sampling and inspections associated with the Classification of Defects, and after a curing time for the parts has been approved (See Note 1) a sample of three (3:. papts (as molded) from each cqv

    22、ity shall be fully inspected dimensionally to qualify a new or rew-ked cavity for use in production. molded parts shall carry the individual cavity identification. As a control of each cavity during production, the above quantity of parts from each cavity shall be inspected for at least the defects

    23、listed in paragraphs 4.4.2.1 after continuous production of each 5,000 parts or at the end of each week, whichevei occurs first. Of the three (31 samples, one (I) sample shall be the last part produced. are found during qualification of the cavity, the cavity pro- ducing the defective part will not

    24、be used in productlon. Xf any defective parts are found when inspection is performed fop the control of the cavity, the cavity producing the defective part shall be removed from production. Further, that portion of production since the last contml check shall be returned . The 4.5 . 2 The If any def

    26、nt for each minor defect. All cavities removed from production because of some fault, may, after reworking, be returned to production providing they pass the qualification test above. The contractor may request a change of inspection frequency providing he presents objective evidence to the Contract

    27、ing Officer to substantiate the request. Contractor designs of gages. and test equipment required to perform the inspections listed herein shall be forwarded to Commander, Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, New Jersey 07801, Attn: SARPA-QA-T- for approval prior to manufacture of equfpnent. The noted sub-para

    28、graphs identify those items and minirgum inspections subject to the requirements of this paragraph. NOTE 1: In establishing a curing time, * dimensionally check ten (10) parts from each cavity at periodic intervals ce,g. every 30, 60 etc mins) until dimensional stability Ls attained, The curing time

    29、 will be from the time the part comes out of the mold until dimensional stability is attained. The fnspection data used in determining the curing time shall be sent to Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, New Jersey 07801 Attn: SARPA-&A-A-$. If there is a change in material, or in the cycle time, or if a cavit

    30、y is reworked, or a new cavity is used, a new curing time shall be established and approved. 5. PREPARATION POR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging and packing (.Level C 1.FThe dummy mine shall be packaged and packed in accordance With MIL-STD-CJ-*. 5.2 Markin .-Marking of the cartons shall he in accordqnce with
