General specifications pertaining to classes of mater- ials. 3.2 Service conditions. - The following conditions of natural environment %o which fire-control materiel may be exposed shall be used to establish uniform limits not to be exceeded in nor- mal design requirem

Licensed by Information Handling ServicesMIL-F- 1429 (ORD) 3.2.1 Life expectancy, - Fire-control equipment shall have a life length as specified in the detail specification. 3.2.2 Continuous operation. - Fire-control equipment shall be capable of operating tne specified number of hours per day

    40、 with- out breakdown or impairment of performance. 3.2.3 Altitude. - Unless otherwise specified, fire -control equipment snali operate satisfactorily from sea levei to 6000 feet above sea level and shall not be damaged if transported by air at an altitude of 50,000 feet above sea level. The above sp

    41、ecified altitudes shall be assumed to be under the most ad- verse barometric pressures which may be encountered at the particular altitudes (see 4.3.5) . 3.2.4 Temperature range - Fire-control equipment shall operate satisfactorily over an ambient temperature range of minus 4ooc (-4OOF) (minimum exp

    42、osure of 3 days without benefit of solar radiation) to plus 52QC (1250P) (minimum exposure of 4 hours with full impact of solar radiation, 360 Btu/sq-ft/hr) and shall not be damaged by storage at temperatures between minus 62oc (-8OOFI (minimum exposure of 3 days without benefit of solar rad- iation

    43、 and plus 77OC (/1600) (minimum exposure of 4 hours with full impact of solar radiation, 360 Btu/sq-ft/hr) (see 4.3.1, 4.3.2, and 4.3.3). 3.2.5 Relative humidity.- Unless otherwise specified, fire-con- trol equipment shall operate satisfactorily in relative humidi- ties up to 100 percent. 3.2.6 Wind
