This specification covers an Ignition Interrupt Driver Printed Wiring Assembly referred to herein as the PWA. This is one of six printed wiring assemblies which comprise t

    3、he Simplified Test Equipmenthternal Combustion Engine-Reprogrammable (STEKE-R) Vehicle Test Meter (VTM) (see Drawing 12259265). 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. The documents listed in this section are specified in sections 3 and 4 of this specification. This section does not include documents c

    4、ited in other sections of this specification or recommended for additional information or as examples. Unless otherwise specied, the issues of the documents which are DoD adopted are those listed in the issue of the DoDISS cit

    12、ed in the soli E7 shall be at 5 0.1 Vdc; E6 shall be at 24 Vdc; input signals shall be applied at El with respect to E2 or at E10 with respect to El 1. An 18 +1.8 kilohms (kohm) pull-up resistor shall be connected from E4 to 8.0 9.4 Vdc. 3.3.4 Input peak limiting. A signal with source impedance of 1

    13、00 510 ohms and peaks of 1000 2100 V shall be limited to less than 400 V peaks when applied at El with respect to E2. 3.3.5 Points voltape output simal. When 50 +17% duty cycle square wave with a source impedance of 10 21 ohms and amplitude from zero to the same voltage as that at E6 is applied at E

    14、l with respect to E2, the signal at E3 with respect to E2 shall be a positive square wave with amplitude of 6.8 k0.6 V. 3.3.6 Ignition signal output. When a square wave of amplitude from zero to the same voltage as the voltage at E6 is applied at El with the respect to E2, the signai at E4 with resp

    15、ect to E5 shall have the same frequency as the input signal. The rising edge of the signai at E4 shall be between 130 and 800 microseconds (ps) environment reauirements. The PWA shall operate under the following environmental conditions, without degradation in performance: 3.6.1 Temperature. 3.6.1.1

    16、 High temperahire (operating). The PWA shali be capable of operation Without damage or malfunction at a high temperature of 125 degrees Fahrenheit (OF) (52 degrees Celsius (“C) (without solar radiation). 3.6.1.2 Low temperature (operating). The PWA shall be capable of operation Without damage or mal

    17、function at a low temperature of 20F (-7OC). For ambient temperatures below 20F, the test set shall be operated in a shelter. 3.6.1.3 High - tempew(nonooeratinr&. The PWA shall be capable of being stored and transported in its case without damage at an ambient temperature of +160F (+7loC). 3.6.1.4 L

    18、ow temperature (nonoperating).     19、73 8A(AT) 3.6.2 Fungus. Au nonmetallic materials that are not inherently fiingistatic shall function in a fungus environment without adversely affecting the operatiodperformance of the PWA. 3.6.3 Shock. The PWA shall evidence no degradation of function and meet the requirements of 3.3 when subjected

    20、 to the shock test. 3.6.4 Vibration. The PWA shall evidence no degradation of function and meet the requirements of 3.3 when subjected to the vibration test. 3.6.5 Bum-in. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the PWA shall be subjected to and pass a “power on” burn-in prior to the inspections liste

    21、d in 4.1. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.1.1). b. Conformance inspection (CI) (see 4.1.2). 4.1.1 First article inspection. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the Governme

    22、nt shall select one PWA produced under the production contract for first article inspection. First article sample shal include all the verifications listed in table II. 4.1.2 CI 100% inspection. CI shall be conducted on all items (lO? inspection), and shall include those examinations and tests from

    23、table II as specified in the contract. 4.2 Verification methods. Acceptable verification methods included in this section are visual inspection, and measurement, sample tests, full-scale demonstration tests, simulation, - modeling, engineering evaluation, component properties analysis, and similarit

    24、y to previously- approved or previously-qualitid designs. 4.2.1 Verification alternatives. The mandacturer may propose alternative test methods, techniques, or equipment, including the application of statistical process control, tool controi, or cost effective sampling procedures to ver performance.

Unless otherwise specified herein, all inspections shall be performed under the following standard (room) ambient conditions: a. Temperature: 77 2 18F (25 +8OC). b. Relative humidity: Uncontrolled room ambient. c. Barometric

    29、pressure: Site pressure. 4.2.3 Operating reauirements verification. 4.2.3.1 Inout power. To determine conformance to 3.3.1, t,e input current shad be measured with an ammeter. 4.2.3.2 CMOS logic levels. To determine conformance to 3.3.2, the input and output CMOS logic levels shall be observed and v

To determine conformance to 3.3.3, E5 and E9 shall be attached to ground. An 18 kohm resistor

    31、 shall be attached at E4 and 8.0 50.4 Vdc shall be applied to the unterminated end. A 24 Vdc shall be applied at E6. A 5.0 &O. 1 Vdc shall be applied at E7. These voltages shall be verified to be present with a voltmeter for the tests of 4.2.3.4 through 4.2.3.7. 4.2.3.4 Input peak limiting. To deter

    32、mine conformance to 3.3.4, the waveform of figure 1 shall be applied at El with respect to E2 and the signal at El shall be verified to approximate the waveform of figure 2. 4.2.3.5 Points voltage output simal. To detennine conformance to 3.3.5, an 18 i 1.8 kohm resistor shall be connected to E4 and

    33、 8.0 k0.4 Vdc shall be applied to the unterminated end. The waveform of figure 3 shall be applied at El with respect to E2 using a source with output impedance of 10 il ohms. The signal amplitude shall be measured at E3 and it shall be verified that no signal peak exceeds 6.8 9.6 V. 4.2.3.6 Ignition

    34、 simal output. To determine conformance to 3.3.6, the si of figure 3 shall be applied to El with respect to E2 and it shall be verified that the signal at E4 conforms to the requirements of 3.3.6. Trigger the oscilloscope on the negative slope of the output at E3. Measure that time interval fiom the

    35、 start of the sweep until the output signal reaches half of its peak level. 4.2.3.7 Ignition - inhibit. To determine conformance to 3.3.7, a 10 ohm, lo%, 100 watt resistor shall be attached to El and the waveform of figure 3 shall be applied at the unterminated end with respect to E2 with a source c

    36、apable of supplying not less than 2 amperes. A logic level O shall be applied at E8 and it shall be verified that the signal at El conforms to the requirements of 3.3.7. 4.2.4 Interface reauirements verification. 4.2.4.1 Overall envelope inspection. Insert the PWA into the present existing location

    37、of the test set, veri its envelope and interfacing conformance. 4.2.5 Ownership and support requirements verification. 4.2.5.1 Interchangeabilhy inspection. To determine conformance to 3.5.1, the interchangeability between different parts, subassemblies, and assemblies having the same military part

    38、number shall be veried. 4.2.5.2 Identification markinp. inspection.     39、g environment requirements verification. The electrical performance tests specified in 4.2.3.1 through 4.2.3.7 shall be conducted prior to and at the completion of each environmental test. Verification of performance during the high temperature and low temperature environmental tests shall be demons

    40、trated by the tests specified in 4.2.3.1, and 4.2.3.4 through 4.2.3.7. 4.2.6.1 Temperature. To determine conformance to 3.6.1, the PWA shall be tested as follows: 4.2.6.1.1 High temperature (operating). To determine conformance to 3.6.1.1, the PWA shall be subjected to high temperature test in accor

    41、dance with method 501.3, procedure II of MIL-STD-810, or equivalent (see 4.2.1), and tested to 3.3. 4.2.6.1.2 Low temperature (operating). To determine conformance to 3.6.1.2, the PWA shali be subjected to low temperature test in accordance with method 502.3, procedure II of MIL-STD-810, or equivale

    42、nt (see 4.2.1), and tested to 3.3. 4.2.6.1.3 High - temperature (nonoperating). To determine conformance to 3.6.1.3, the PWA shall be subjected to high temperature test in accordance with method 501.3, procedure I of MIL-STD-810, or equivalent (see 4.2.1). 4.2.6.1.4 Low temperature (nonoperating). T

    43、o determine conformance to 3.6.1.4, the PWA shall be subjected to low temperature test in accordance with method 502.3, procedure I of MIL-STD-810, or equivalent (see 4.2.1). 4.2.6.2 Funws. To determine conformance to 3.6.2, the PWA shall be subjected to the fungus test in accordance with method 508

    44、.4 of MIL-STD-810 (28 day test), or equivalent (see 4.2.1). 4.2.6.3 Shock. To determine conformance to 3.6.3, the PWA shall be subjected to the shock test in accordance with method 5 16.4, procedure I, 40g peak of MIL-STD-8 10, or equivalent (see 4.2.1), and tested to 3.3 after shock test. 4.2.6.4 V

    45、ibration. To determine conformance to 3.6.4, the PWA shall be subjected to a vibration test using a composite of figures 4 through 6. These figures represent the cargo environment at the cargo bed of a composite of tactical wheeled vehicles, the 5-ton M813 truck and the 12-ton M127 semitrailer. The

    46、data include differing vehicle loading conditions traversing over specially designed courses ranging from paved highway to off road conditions at various vehicle speeds. The spectrum is broadband random with peaks and notches at various discrete frequency bands. Break points are provided for establi

    47、shing the spectrum shape. The test duration is 500 miles. When required

    48、 (see 6.2), the bum-in shall consist of three temperature cycles and a six gravity unit (g) root mean square (rms) random vibration as follows: a. Temperature cvcle. Each temperature cycle shall consist of 30 minutes at -60F (-51C) and 30 minutes at +125”F (52C). The rate oftemperature change betwee

    49、n temperature extremes shall be not less than 5F (2.S”C) per minute. Power shall be applied to the PWA for not less than 30 minutes from 2OoF (-7OC) through the completion of each high-temperature soak. b. Random vibration. Following all temperature cycling, the PWA shall be hard mounted to the vibration table so that the axis of vibration is perpendicular to the plane of the PWA.
