SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The following characteristics may differ from those listed in the latest issue o
10、f A-A-59326. 3.1 Hydrostatic test pressure. The -inch through 4-inch couplings shall withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 300 pounds per square inch gage (psig). The 6-inch, 75 psi rated couplings shall withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 150 psig. The 6-inch, 150 psi rated couplings shall
11、withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 225 psig. 3.2 Cam-arms. The 6-inch 150 psi rated coupling half shall have four (4) cam-arms. The 6-inch 75 psi rated can have 2 cam-arms. 3.3 Working Pressure. The -inch through 4-inch couplings shall be rated for 150 pounds per square inch working pressure.
12、The 6-inch couplings shall be rated for 75 psi or 150 psi working pressure as appropriate. 3.4 Accessories. The coupling shall be supplied with pull rings and gasket indicated. 4. NOTES 4.1 Part Identification Number (PIN). The following PIN procedure is for government purposes and does not constitu
13、te a requirement for the contractor. This example describes a part numbering system for specification sheet A-A-59326/6. AA59326/6-3-SS-1; where /6 indicates a Female by Hose Shank, Type VI coupling half; -3 indicates a 1-inch nominal size; -SS indicates a stainless steel body; and last -1 indicates
14、 a style 1 coupling. Material: A - Aluminum Alloy B - Copper Alloy (Brass or Bronze) BA - Aluminum Bronze SS - Stainless Steel Style 1 - Style 1 couplings do not require the incorporation of a positive locking mechanism to lock the cam arms in the closed position but the cam arms shall stay in the c
15、losed position when the coupling halves are assembled. Style 2 - Style 2 couplings shall incorporate a positive locking mechanism to lock the cam arms in the closed position when the coupling halves are assembled. The locking mechanism shall be manually released (the release doesnt have to stay in t
