This revision of ANSI PH4.3-1986 (RI 991), American National Standard for Photography (processing) - Processing trays - Specifications, incorpo- rates format changes and updated references, and consolidates specifica- tions on

    12、 processing tanks formerly contained in ANSI PH4.2-1986 (RI 991 ), American National Standard for Photography (processing) - Tanks for sheet films and plates - Specifications. This standard contains one informative annex, which is not considered part of this standard. Suggestions for improvement of

    18、ICAN NATIONAL STANDARD ANSIINAPM lT4.24-1997 American National Standard for Photography (Processing) - Processing Trays and Tanks - Specifications 1 Scope 1.1 This standard sets forth the requirements for trays used in processing photographic sheet films, plates, or papers in sizes up to 50.8 cm x 6

    19、1.0 cm (20 in x 24 in) described in ANSVNAPM IT1.18, ANSVNAPM IT1.72, and ANSI PHI .23. 1.2 This standard also provides specifications for tanks used in processing sheet films or plates up to 20.3 cm x 25.4 cm (8 in x 10 in) that are held in hangers described in ANSVNAPM lT4.22. 1.3 Two forms of tan

    20、ks are recognized: (1) simple box-shaped tanks in which the hangers rest on the top edges, and (2) box-shaped tanks with flanged rims extending above the hanger ledge so that a cover may be used with the hangers in position. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, th

    24、ssing sheet films and plates - Specifications 3 Specifications 3.1 General 3.1.1 3.1.2 containing photographic solutions at the operating temperatures for processing. 3.1.3 Trays and tanks shall be rigidly constructed. Trays and tanks shall be constructed with sturdy materials so that they will not

    25、warp or distort when Trays and tanks shall rest flat upon a flat surface. 1 ANSIINAPM lT4.24-1997 3.1.4 Trays and tanks shall be corrosion resistant to common photographic solutions (as tested in accordance with ANSI PH4.31) and shall have no deleterious effect upon sensitized materials or photograp

    26、hic solutions. Solder shall not be used. 3.1.5 3.2 Tray requirements 3.2.1 Trays shall comply with the dimensions shown in figure 1. 3.2.2 When inside bottom surface ribs exist, they shall be smoothly and generously filleted for cleaning and shall not be more than 0.25 cm (0.10 in) high or deep in t

    27、rays up to 35.6 cm x 43.2 cm (14 in x 17 in) or be more than 0.51 cm (0.20 in) high or deep in trays larger than 35.6 cm x 43.2 cm (14 in x 17 in). 3.2.3 Trays with pouring lips shall have the lip located in the particular corner shown in figure 1. The lip should be of the form shown and shall be ad

    28、equately channeled to facilitate pouring. In sheet metal trays drawn from a symmetrical blank, the lip formed shall have similar pouring characteristics. 3.2.4 The top edges of the trays shall be formed in a rounded bead that is on the outside of the tray and is free from sharp edges. The bead shall

    29、 not be completely closed; it shall be self-draining. 3.3 Tank requirements 3.3.1 3.3.2 3.3.3 below, the edge upon which the hanger bars rest. The interior surfaces of trays and tanks should be smooth so that they may be readily cleaned. The minimum inside dimensions of a tank shall comply with the

    30、dimensions shown in figure 2. If inside fillets are used, they shall not exceed a radius of 0.64 cm (0.25 in).
