、 data waveform is described in Section 4.1 for h (480i) or Section 4.2 for 2h (480p) for signals compliant with CEA-770.2 for Type A packets and Type B packets. Type A packets are the same as those in EIA/CEA-805. Type B packets were newly defined in CEA-805-A. Section 4.3 describes the data wavefor

Section 4.5 defines the data payload for Type A and Type B packets. Use of Type A packets in source devices is deprecated. 4.1 Waveform for Standard Definition In

、dard shall tolerate IEC 61880 signals or other signals on line 20 and line 283. Sink devices should recognize that waveforms other than IEC 61880 may be present on line 20 and line 283. Sink devices compliant with this standard shall default to 4:3 output format in the absence of an IEC 61880 signal

、 on line 20 and line 283. Other signals may be transmitted on line 20 and line 283 as described in CEA 2020. IEC 61880 is typically used to signal CGMS-A and APS in addition to aspect ratio and display format. CGMS-A and APS are also signaled in CEA-608. In order to avoid ambiguity when both means o

、f signaling CGMS-A and APS are present, source devices should ensure that both IEC 61880 and CEA-608 carry the same, proper CGMS-A and APS signals. NOTEConditions for applying the CGMS-A and APS bits in source devices may be bound by private agreements or government regulations. Also, required behav
