、ase switches, and circuit-breakerenclosures rated up to 1500 V dc, intended for use with photovoltaic (PV) systems and Ref. No. 1 ofAnnex B.1.2 These requirements are intended to be used in conjunction with the requirements in Ref. No. 2 ofAnnex B, except as modified or supplemented by this Standard

、.1.3 These requirements do not cover molded-case circuit breakers or molded-case switches intended foruse in battery circuits.2 Components2.1 Except as indicated in 2.2, a component of a product covered by this Standard shall comply with therequirements for that component. See Annex A for a list of

、standards covering components generally usedin the products covered by this Standard. A component shall comply with the CSA and UL Standards asappropriate for the country where the product is to be used.2.2 A component is not required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature

、or characteristic not required in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this Standard; orb) Is superseded by a requirement in this Standard.2.3 A component shall be used in accordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.2.4 Specific components are incomp

、lete in construction features or restricted in performance capabilities.Such components are intended for use only under limited conditions, such as certain temperatures notexceeding specified limits, and shall be used only under those specific conditions.3 Units of Measurement3.1 The values given in

、 SI (metric) units shall be normative. Any other values given shall be forinformation purposes only.4 Normative References4.1 Products covered by this Standard shall comply with the referenced installation codes and standardsnoted in Annex B as appropriate for the country where the product is to be

、used. When the product isintended for use in more than one country, the product shall comply with the installation codes andstandards for all countries where it is intended to be used.MARCH 7, 2016 CSA C22.2 NO. 305-16 UL 489B 74.2 Where reference is made to any Standards, such reference shall be considered to refer to the latesteditions and revisions thereto available at the time of printing, unless otherwise specified.4.3 For products intended for use in Canada, general requirements are given in Ref.
