This renewal process involvesinstalling a deformed liner into an existing pipeline, conduit, orduct, then reforming the l

Sampling5.1 Reformed pipe sample preparation shall involve therounding of a deformed pipe sample within a split pipe moldwith an inside diameter equal to the nominal outside diametershown in Table 3. A deformed pipe sample of sufficient length(10 ft maximum) to complete the testing
20、 requirements shall beinserted into the split pipe mold and secured at the ends. Theends shall have threaded nipples for applying steam with apressure gage having steam discharge piping. The assemblyshall be placed in an enclosed chamber for heating. Ambientpressure steam shall be applied to the cha
21、mber for at least a15-min period at a minimum temperature of 200F. Thetemperature shall be elevated to 250F and the pipe shall bereformed by applying 14.5 psig for a period of 2 min. Thepressure shall be increased to a maximum of 26 psig for anadditional period of 2 min. While maintaining the 26-psi
22、ginternal pressure, transition to air pressure and cool to 100F orless. (153 mm).5.3 The frequency of sampling shall be agreed upon be-tween the purchaser and the seller.6. Requirements and Test Methods6.1
30、 WorkmanshipThe deformed liner shall be essentiallyuniform in color, opacity, and other properties. There shall beno evidence of splits, cracks, crazing, kinks, or breaks.6.2 Dimensions:6.2.1 Outside DiameterThe outside diameter shall be asshown in Table 3 when measured in accordance with TestMethod
31、 D2122 on liner samples taken from the production linebefore deforming. A dimensional check shall be made at leastonce every 12 h during production.6.2.2 Wall ThicknessesThe wall thickness shall be asshown in Table 3 when measured in accordance with TestMethod D2122. Use of a properly calibrated ult
32、rasonic thick-ness tester is also permitted under this specification. Makesufficient readings, a minimum of eight, equally spaced aroundthe circumference to ensure that the thickness has beendetermined.6.3 Special SizesWhere existing system conditions orspecial local requirements make other diameter
33、s or dimensionsnecessary, other sizes or dimension ratios, or both, shall beacceptable for engineered applications when mutually agreedupon between the purchaser and manufacturer, if the deformedliner is manufactured from plastic compounds meeting thematerial requirements of this specification, and
34、the strength anddesign requirements are calculated on the same basis as thoseused in the specification. For diameters not shown in Table 3,the tolerance shall be the same percentage as used for diam-eters shown in Table 3. Minimum wall thickness shall becalculated by dividing the minimum diameter by
35、 the dimensionratio.6.4 Environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) materialsallowable for use in the manufacture of liner under thisspecification shall meet the minimum requirements specified inTable 2. Test specimens required for testing in accordance withTest Method D1693 shall be prepared from
36、material meetingthe requirements of 4.2 or 4.3 in any combination.6.5 Tensile Strength and Tensile ElongationSamples shallbe tested for tensile strength at yield and elongation at breakper cell classification values. Tests shall be performed inaccordance with Test Method D638 on a Type IV tensile te
37、stspecimen cut from the production liner sample. Test thespecimen at a speed of 2 in./min. Tensile strength and elonga-tion shall be checked at least once per production lot run.6.6 Flexural ModulusFlexural modulus shall be checkedat least once per production lot run per 6.6.1 or 6.6.2.6.6.1 Test sp
38、ecimens shall be machined from the wall of theresin lot run, in accordance with the requirements of 5.1.Samples shall be tested for flexural modulus in accordancewith Test Method D790 using Method 1, Procedure B and a 2in. (50 mm) test span.6.6.2 Test specimens shall be sections of pipe as removedfr
39、om the production line before deforming or sections of pipethat have been reformed in accordance with 5.1 or 5.2. CellClassification value shall be verified by measuring the pipestiffness at 5% deflection per Test Method D2412, and calcu-lating the corresponding flex modulus for the pipe section per
40、Test Method D2412.6.7 Conditioning:6.7.1 Referee TestingWhen conditioning is required forreferee tests, condition the specimens in accordance withProcedure A of Practice D618 at 73.4 6 3.6F (23 6 2C) and50 6 5 % relative humidity for not less than 40 h before test.Conduct tests under the same condit
41、ions of temperature andhumidity, unless otherwise specified.6.7.2 Quality Control TestingUnless otherwise specified,condition the specimens for a minimum of 24 h before test inairor4hinwater at 73.4 6 3.6F (23 6 2C). Test thespecimens at 73.4 6 3.6F without regard to relative humidity.6.8 Test Condi
42、tionsConduct tests other than those forroutine quality control purposes in the Standard LaboratoryAtmosphere of 73.4 6 3.6F (23 6 2C) and 50 6 5 % relativehumidity, unless otherwise specified in the referenced testmethod or in this specification. In cases of disagreement,retesting shall be conducted
43、 with the temperature and relativehumidity tolerances limited to 61.8F (1C) and 62%,respectively.6.9 Retest and RejectionIf the results of any test(s) do notmeet the requirements of this specification, the test(s) may beconducted again in accordance with an agreement between thepurchaser and the sel
44、ler. There shall be no agreement to lowerthe minimum requirement of the specification by such meansas omitting tests that are a part of the specification, substitutingor modifying a test method, or by changing the specificationlimits. In retesting, the product requirements of this specifica-tion sha
45、ll be followed. If upon retest failure occurs, the quantityof product represented by the test(s) shall be rejected.6.10 The requirements in 6.1, 6.2, 6.5, and 6.6 are intendedfor initial product qualification, and as routine quality controlrequirements to be performed during every production run and
46、shall meet Table 2 value range. The requirements in 6.4 areintended to qualify product as meeting this specification, andare to be performed by the pipe supplier, and certified accord-ingly.7. Certification7.1 When specified in the purchase order or contract, thepipe producers certification shall be
47、 furnished to the purchaserthat the deformed liner was manufactured, sampled, tested, andinspected in accordance with this specification and has beenfound to meet the requirements. 48、rking8.1 Markings shall be applied to the exposed end of eachdeformed liner coil in such a manner that they remain legibleduring normal handling, shipment, and storage. Markings maybe stenciled on the outside of the liner.8.2 MarkingsEach deformed liner coil in compliance withthis specification shal
49、l be clearly marked by the manufacturerwith the following information: this designation, ASTMF1533; the nominal outside diameter in inches or special sizein inches, DR-XX, and approximate coil length; the standardmaterial designation code (PE3408 or PE2406); the manufac-turers name, trade name, or trademark; and the manufacturersproduction code, from which plant location, machine, and dateof manufacture can be identified.9. Packaging9.1 Unless otherwise specified, deformed liner shall becoiled. Coil lengths shall be specified by the
