    3、use in the preparation ofpiping system material schedules for commercial ship designand construction.1.2 The materials and limitations listed in Tables 1-28 meetthe minimum requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard and theAmerican Bureau of Shipping and, except for titanium, shouldbe considered to be the

    4、 minimum acceptable materials inregard to material, design, and testing. This document is notintended to limit the selection of material strictly to thoselisted. Other equal or superior materials may be used providedthat they are acceptable to the regulatory bodies and classifi-cation societies.NOTE
