    3、ugh 132-in. (100 through 3353-mm)equivalent diameter, for use in gravity flow systems forconveying sanitary sewage, storm water, and certain industrialwastes. This specification is suited for the evaluation andtesting of materials used in the rehabilitation of existing pipesby the installation and c

    4、ure of a resin-impregnated fabric liner.1.2 This specification can also be extended to covermanholes, pump stations, wetwells, vaults, storage tanks, andother similar structures where a cured in place liner usingthermosetting resin is applicable.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be re

Classification4.1 Types of CI

    21、PP:4.1.1 Type IDesigned to provide chemical resistance andprevent exfiltration.4.1.2 Type IIInstalled in a partially deteriorated existingpipe or structure and is designed to provide chemicalresistance, prevent exfiltration and infiltration, and support theexternal hydrostatic loads due to groundwat

    22、er only (andinternal vacuum, where applicable), since the soil and liveloads can be supported by the original conduit or structure.4.1.3 Type IIIInstalled in a fully deteriorated existing pipeor structure and designed to provide chemical resistance,prevent exfiltration and infiltration, and support

    23、all externalhydraulic, soil, and live loads acting on the original conduit orstructure.4.2 Grades of CIPP:4.2.1 Grade 1Thermosetting polyester resin.4.2.2 Grade 2Thermosetting polyester resin.4.2.3 Grade 3Thermosetting epoxy resin.NOTE 2For the purposes of this specification, polyester includes viny

    24、lester resins.NOTE 3The purchaser should determine or consult the manufacturerfor the proper type and grade CIPP to be used under the installation andoperation conditions that will exist for the project in which the pipe/structure is to be used.5. Materials and Manufacture5.1 GeneralThe resins, fabr

    25、ic tube, tube coatings, fillers,and other materials, when combined as a composite structure,shall produce a pipe/structure that meets the requirements ofthis specification.5.2 CIPP Wall CompositionThe wall shall consist of afabric tube and tube coating filled with a thermosetting(cross-linked) resin

    26、, and if used, a filler.5.2.1 ResinA thermosetting polyester or epoxy resin.5.2.2 Fabric TubeThis tube shall consist of one or morelayers of fabric that are compatible with the resin system usedand are capable of supporting and carrying resin. The tubeshould be capable of withstanding installation p

    27、rocedures andcuring temperatures. Longitudinal and circumferential jointsbetween multiple layers of a tube should be staggered to notoverlap. The tube shall be fabricated to fit its final in-placeposition in the original conduit, with allowance for stretch asrecommended by the tube manufacturer.5.2.

    28、2.1 Tube CoatingThe inside or outside surface, orboth, of the fabric tube may be coated with a plastic flexiblematerial that is compatible with the tube and the resin systemused. The coating shall allow visual inspection of the properimpregnation of the tube fabric with resin.5.2.3 FillerAn additive

    29、 which alters the thixotropic orphysical properties, or both, of a resin, and when incorporatedinto the CIPPwill not detrimentally affect its ability to meet therequirements of this specification.6. Requirements6.1 Fabric Tube StrengthThe fabric tube, as a qualitycontrol test, when tested in accorda

    30、nce with 8.4 shall have aminimum tensile strength of 750 psi (5 MPa) in both thelongitudinal and transverse directions.6.2 WorkmanshipAfter installation, Types I, II, and IIICIPP shall be free of dry spots, lifts, delamination of any CIPPlayers or tube coating. If any of these conditions are present

    31、,repair the CIPP in these areas with materials compatible withthe resin system and fabric tube and in a manner acceptable tothe purchaser, or replace the CIPP so that it meets therequirements of these specifications.6.3 Dimensions:6.3.1 Pipe DiametersDue to diametric shrinkage of theCIPP during cure

    32、, the minimum allowable outside diameter ofTypes I, II, and III CIPP should be 98 % of the inside diameterof the host or mold pipe used for sampling, when measured inaccordance with 8.1.1.6.3.2 LengthsTypes I, II, and III CIPPshall be designed toextend the full length of the existing pipe between th

    33、e accesspoints after installation and curing, unless otherwise required.The cured CIPP may be cut to project beyond the ends of theexisting pipe as required by the owner.6.3.3 Wall ThicknessThe average wall thickness of TypesI, II, and III CIPP shall not be less than the specified thickness.The mini

    34、mum wall thickness at any point shall not be less than87.5 % of the specified thickness when measured in accordancewith 8.1.2.6.4 Chemical Resistance Requirements:D5813 04 (2012)26.4.1 Specimens of each grade for use in sewer applicationsshall be evaluated in a laminate form by qualification test in

    35、accordance with 8.2.1. The specimens shall be capable ofexposure to the solutions in Table 1 at a temperature of 73.4 63.6F (23 6 2C) with a percentage retention of flexuralmodulus of elasticity, when tested in accordance with 8.3,ofatleast 80 % after one-year exposure. Flexural properties afterexpo

    36、sure to the chemical solution shall be based on thedimensions of the specimen after exposure.6.4.2 Specimens of each grade used in sanitary sewers shallbe evaluated by qualification test in accordance with 8.2.2 at atemperature of 73.4 6 3.6F (23 6 2C). The specimens shallbe capable of being deflect

    37、ed to meet the strain requirements of8.2.2 without failure when exposed to 1.0 N sulfuric acidsolution.6.4.3 For more specific service environments, such as in-dustrial applications, CIPP specimens shall be tested in accor-dance with 8.2.1, and a suitable resin may be selected byagreement between th

    38、e manufacturer and the purchaser.6.5 Physical PropertiesTypes I, II, and III field-curedCIPP specimens when tested for quality assurance in accor-dance with 8.3 shall have minimum flexural modulus ofelasticity of 250 000 psi (1724 MPa), minimum flexuralstrength of 4500 psi (31 MPa), and a minimum te

    39、nsile strengthof 2500 psi (17 MPa), or as specified, whichever is greater.7. Sampling7.1 Production TestsThe CIPP sample shall be tested as tothe conformance of the material to the workmanship,dimensional, and flexural requirements of 6.1, 6.2, and 6.4.7.2 Sampling Techniques:7.2.1 For each CIPP len

    40、gth designated by the purchaser,CIPP samples shall be prepared in accordance with 8.1.1 ofPractice F1216.7.2.2 In large-diameter applications and areas with limitedaccess, CIPP samples shall be prepared in accordance with8.1.2 of Practice F1216.7.2.3 For CIPPs reinforced with oriented continuous ord

    41、iscontinuous fibers with a modulus 3 106psi (20 GPa),CIPP samples shall be prepared in accordance with 8.1.2 ofPractice F1216.7.3 Qualification TestsSampling for qualification tests isnot required unless otherwise agreed upon between the pur-chaser and the supplier. These tests include the chemicalr

    42、equirements test in 6.4. For qualification tests, a certificationand test report for any given combination of fabric tube type,resin grade, and filler shall be furnished when requested by thepurchaser.8. Test Methods8.1 Dimensions:8.1.1 DiameterTake outside diameter measurements inaccordance with Pr

    43、actice D3567 of samples prepared inaccordance with 7.2.8.1.2 Wall ThicknessTake wall thickness measurements inaccordance with Practice D3567 for samples prepared inaccordance with 7.2. Make a minimum of eight measurementsat evenly spaced intervals around the circumference of thesample to ensure that

    44、 minimum and maximum thicknesseshave been determined. Deduct from the measured values thethickness of any plastic coatings or CIPP layers not included inthe structural design of the CIPP. Calculate the averagethickness using all measured values.8.2 Chemical Tests:8.2.1 Test the CIPP in accordance wi

    45、th the testing proce-dures of Test Method D543. The edges of the test specimensshall be cut, left exposed, and not treated with resin.8.2.2 In accordance with Test Method D3681, test fourspecimens each at the 10 and 10 000-h minimum strains, andtest five specimens each at the 100 and 1000-h minimums

    46、trains given in Table 2. Consider the product qualified if all 18specimens are tested without failure for at least the prescribedtimes given in Table 2 (that is 10, 100, 1000, and 10 000 h,respectively).8.2.2.1 Apply force to each test specimen within the pipeapparatus with a properly calibrated com

    47、pression testing ma-chine of the constant cross-rate-of-crosshead movement type inaccordance with Test Method D695. The rate of head approachshall not exceed 0.5 in./min (12.5 mm/min). When the requireddeflection is reached, maintain the load for a period of at least5 min before locking the apparatu

    48、s to maintain the specimen inthe deflected position. Disengage the testing machine andtransfer the test apparatus to the test area.8.3 Physical Properties:8.3.1 For flexural and tensile properties of samples preparedin accordance with 7.2.1 and 7.2.2, the full structural wallthickness of the CIPP sa

    49、mples shall be tested. Any plasticcoatings or other CIPP layers not included in the structuraldesign of the CIPPmay be carefully ground off of the specimenprior to testing.
