Section 4.1,“Building Designer Requirements,” now specifies that a build-ing designer shall review t

    23、he building design, and the require-ment to survey a new building design has been removed. The requirement to delineate the height of either the dis-charge outlet or makeup valve relative to the overflow of thetower basin has been removed from Section 7.2.7, “Locationof Cooling Tower Makeup Valve.”

    24、The requirement for the designer to provide detailedinstructions for the commission of all building water systemshas been removed from Section 8.4, “Commissioning.”Note: In this addendum, changes to the current standardare indicated in the text by underlining (for additions) andstrikethrough (for de

    25、letions) unless the instructions specifi-cally mention some other means of indicating the changes. 4.1 Building Designer Requirements4.1.1 The building designer shall review Survey each newbuilding design and its water systems to determine if thedesign contains any of the devices or factors describe

    26、d in Sec-tion 5 that relate to iEsSa EiiaISI. If the building and associ-ated property has a. any of the building water systems in Section 5.1, then allof those building water systems in the new building designshall comply with all applicable requirements of Section 8of this standard.b. any of the f

    27、actors listed in Section 5.2, then the new build-ing design shall comply with the requirements of Section 8of this standard.7.2.7 Location of Cooling Tower Makeup Valve. TheProgram documents shall include requirements for the loca-tion of cooling tower makeup valves and for maintainingcompliance wit

    28、h all applicable local, regional, and nationalcodes and regulations for air gaps and backflow preventers.and for the height of the discharge outlets and makeup valveover the rim of the overflow in the cooling tower or evapora-tive condenser cold water basins. If no such codes and regula-tions exist

    29、for the location, then the Program shall includerequirements for maintaining compliance with ASME/ANSIA112.1.2 1 for air gaps and for maintaining compliance withcodes and regulations applicable to other locations, selectedby the owner or designee, for backflow preventers. and for theheight of the di

    36、, and promotethose new and revised Standards developed by other responsible organizations.Through its Handbook, appropriate chapters will contain up-to-date Standards and design considerations as thematerial is systematically revised.ASHRAE will take the lead with respect to dissemination of environ

    37、mental information of its primary interest andwill seek out and disseminate information from other responsible organizations that is pertinent, as guides to updatingStandards and Guidelines.The effects of the design and selection of equipment and systems will be considered within the scope of thesys

The disposal of hazardous materials, if any, will also be considered.ASHRAEs primary concern for environmental impact will be at the site where equipment within ASHRAEs scopeoperates.
