PURPOSE This standard provides recognized weather data for use inbuilding-design and related equipment standards.2. SCOPE2.1 This standard covers weather data used

DEFINITIONS, ABBREVIATIONS, AND ACRONYMS3.1 Definitionsdegree-day: the difference in temperature between theoutdoor mean tempera

    29、ture over a 24-hour period and a givenbase temperature. For the purposes of determining buildingenvelope requirements, the classifications are defined asfollows:(a) cooling degree-day base 50F, CDD50, or 10C,CDD10: for any one day, when the mean temperature ismore than 50F or 10C, there are as many

    30、degree-days asdegrees Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature differencebetween the mean temperature for the day and 50F or10C. Annual cooling degree-days (CDDs) are the sum ofthe degree-days over a calendar year.(b) heating degree-day base 65F, HDD65, or 18C,HDD18: for any one day, when the mean temperat
