SCOPE1.1 -. This specification covers prefoamed polyurethanefo

    15、t,however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless aspecific exemption has been obtained.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 wt arw.     16、 permitted without license from IHS-,-,-MIL-PRF-26514G3.2 The materials used in the production ofpolyurethane foams shall provide a product conforming to therequirements specified herein. Procurement of materials thatcontain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCS) ! or utilize or liberate CFCSduring their produc

    17、tion, is prohibited. The polyurethane foamshall be supplied in rolls, sheets, or molded shapes, asspecified (see 6.2)3.3 Vtlc stab-. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2and 6.5), all materials shall meet the requirements of 3.3.1 or3.3.2 as applicable.3.3.1 CIEi_l. After aging in accordance with 4.5.

    18、3.1, theaverage minimum compressive strength of the 15 samples tested inboth the parallel and the perpendicular directions (see4.5.3.1.1) at yield or 10 percent deflection, whichever occursfirst, shall not vary more than 10 percent from the average valueof the 15 samples tested in both the parallel

    19、and theperpendicular directions obtained prior to aging (compressivestrength samples, see 4.5.3.8 and 6.6). It is not necessary forboth yield and ten percent deflection to occur.3.3.2 . After aging in accordance with 4.5.3.1, thestresses necessary for 20 and 40 percent strains shall be within 10 per

    20、cent of the stresses necessary to cause these samestrains on the same unaged specimens when tested in accordancewith 4.5.3.1.2.3.4 Iiater absoss 1 onlvl. The average waterabsorption by weight of all samples shall not exceed 170 percentwhen determined in accordance with 4.5.3.2.3.5 CreD (class onlv)

    21、Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2),the maximum percentage creep that occurs under th-erequiredcontinuous loading stress shall not exceed 10 percent when testedin accordance with 4.5.3.3.3.6 Psslon set (class 2 only-) Unless otherwise specified(see 6.2), the compression set shall not be more than 1

    22、0 percentof the original thickness (see 4.5.3.4)3.7 tv (class 2 onlv ) Unless otherwise specified (see6.2), the material shall show no cracks, tears, or separationswhen tested in accordance with 4.5.3.5. This requirement islimited to materials having a density of 64 kg/m or less.3.8.1 Molded Or mar.

The length, width, and thicknessshall be as specified by

    24、the procuring activity (see 6.2) . Whenprocuring material, the tolerance for lengths, widths, andthicknesses shall be 3 nun.3.9 . The average change in volume of all of thepolyurethane foam samples after aging shall be no greater thanseven percent of the initial volumes before aging (see 4.5.3.6)3.1

    25、0 lVP The polyurethane foam shall betested in accordance with 4.5;3.7. The flame front of each testspecimen shall not advance to or beyond the 125 nungage markspecified in the test. There shall be no visual evidence ofburning or melting of any specimen at or beyond the 125 mm gagemark.3.11 lve st .

    26、Unless otherwisespecified (see 6.2), the minimum compressive strength at yield or10 percent deflection, whichever occurs first, shall be 140 kPawith the force applied parallel and 85 kPa with the force appliedperpendicular to the direction of foam rise (see 4.5.3.8 and6.6). It is not necessary for b

    27、oth yield and ten percentdeflection to occur. Failure of the average compressive strengthvalue of any set of five specimens to conform to the aboverequirements shall be cause for rejection.3.12 nrotles (class 2 The peak G-0static stress curves for grades A, B, C, and D shall conform tothe shapes of

    28、the appropriate generalized curves presented infigures 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively, within the specifiedtolerance bands, of A 20 percent, when tested in accordance with4.5.3.9. Five G-static stress points, approximately eqUallYspaced, shall be required to establish conformance. IWOpointsshall be es

    29、tablished within 10 percent of the static stressvalues at the extremities of the curve and one at the approximateminimum peak acceleration level point.3.13 rtv (tvne The cushioningmaterial shall be uniformly impregnated with an anti-staticagent . The static decay rate of the impregnated foam shall n

    30、otexceed two seconds when tested as specified in 4.5.3.10.3.14 Unless otherwise specified(see 6.2 and 6.7), cushioning material grade and anti-staticproperties shall be identified according to color. Coding colorsshall correspond to color numbers of FED-STD-595. The colorsshall be evenly dispersed t

VERIFICATION4.1 of Insoectlons. The inspection requirementsspecified herein shall be classified as follows:a. First

    33、 article inspection (4.3.2)b. Conformance inspection (4.3.3)4.2 Guidance for sampling procedures is provided in6.4. For purposes of sampling, a lot shall consist of allmaterial produced under like conditions in one unchanged processby one manufacturer and submitted for acceptance at one time.4.3 nd

    34、tests.4.3.1 First article waver. First article inspection may bewaived, by the Air Force Packaging Technology and EngineeringFacility (AFPTEF) or the procuring activity, when the procuringactivity or contract administrator has data or other evidence toindicate that prior successful first article ins

    35、pection has beenconducted (see 6.2) . Only when the first article has been waivedby the AFPTEF or procuring activity, may the contractor self-certify that the material will conform to the requirements ofthis specification.4.3.2 -t art. First article inspection shallconsist of all tests in Table I an

    36、d shall be performed by theAFPTEF, after award of contract and prior to production. Firstarticle inspection shall be performed on sample units producedusing materials, equipment, and procedures which will be used infulfilling the contract. First article approval is valid only onthe contract on which
