4、IM MS6- 1993 .) This standard, which is a revision of ANSI/AIIM MS6-1981, which was reaffirmed in 1988, is directed toward aiding photographic film manufacturers and users in identifying materials contained in packages of unex- posed microfilm products. The proper identification of raw materials is

5、meant to aid experienced and novice microfilmers in obtaining the highest quality photographic image possible in his or her system, without loss of materials or time to the user. In many cases improper labeling or lack of label- ing information can lead to: I) improper storage of raw stock. 2) loss

6、of valuable imagery due to using duplicating products or camera materials in incompatible systems. 3) loss of film products due to improper handling in unspecified safelight conditions. 4) improper processing to obtain-a stable image. It is the purpose of this standard, therefore, to make recommenda

This standard is meant to aid the manufacturer and consumer in identification of enclosed photographic products, but does not dictate how the material should be packaged.
