    14、tion on Gear Units.ANSI/AGMA 6000-A88 included and superseded the information previously published inAGMA 426.01 (1972), Specification for Measurement of Lateral Vibration on High SpeedHelical and Herringbone Gear Units.Performance of driven equipment is dependent upon the individual characteristics

    15、 of theprime mover, gear unit, driven machine and support structure, as well as their combinedeffects as a system. The proper assessment of performance characteristics is essential forrealistic evaluation. The knowledge and judgment required to properly evaluate the gearunit vibration comes primaril

    16、y from years of accumulated experience in designing,manufacturing, and operating gear units. For these reasons, the use of this standard andthe evaluation of test results for specific gear product applications should only be attemptedby experienced personnel.The complexity of gear vibration phenomen

    17、a makes most vibration standards difficult toapply or to properly interpret. The AGMA Acoustical Technology Committee developed theSpecification for Measurement of Linear Vibration on Gear Units to provide a common basisfor communication between project engineers, gear manufacturers, and users. Thep

    18、urpose was, also, to encourage the maximum practical degree of uniformity andconsistency among vibration measurement practices within the gear industry.Because of the wide variation of gear driven systems and structural supports, ANSI/AGMA6000-A88 identified certain areas where special consideration

    19、s might be necessary andmust be agreed upon between purchaser and gear manufacturer when discussing gearvibrations.ANSI/AGMA 6000-A88 was approved as a standard by the AGMA membership in May1988 and approved as an American National Standard on June 16, 1988.ANSI/AGMA 6000-B96 is a revision of ANSI/A

    20、GMA 6000-A88. The revision includesclarification of application of the standard, changes to annex A, and the addition of a newannex C, from ISO 8579-2.ANSI/AGMA 6000-B96 was approved as a standard by the AGMA membership in June1996, and approved as an American National Standard on September 6, 1996.

    26、ar Units1 ScopeThis standard presents a method for measuringsteady state filtered linear vibrations of a gear unit.Types of instrumentation, measurement methods,and testing procedures for the determination oflinear vibration levels for specific types of gear unitsare provided. Vibration limits at di

    27、screte frequenciesare recommended for acceptance testing. It is notthe intent of this standard to provide unfiltered limits.The recommended limits and conditions specifiedherein are intended as the vibration criteria forperformance of the gear drive during the equipmentmanufacturers test when specif

    28、ically agreed to bythe manufacturer and purchaser.This standard is specifically applicable to enclosedspeed reducing or increasing gear drive unitsdesigned, rated, and lubricated in accordance withANSI/AGMA product standards as indicated in 4.3.This standard does not apply to integrated systems,shaf

    29、t-mounted units, special or auxiliary drive trainsor power take-off gears. Vibration amplitudesexceeding the recommendations of this specifica-tion for drives with flexible housings or on flexiblesupports may also be allowable if accounted for inthe design. Acceptable limits for this type ofequipmen

    30、t should be independently specified.However, if negotiated, this standard may be appliedto such equipment.Torsional and transient vibrations of a geared systemare not included in this standard.NOTE: Compliance with this standard does notconstitute a warranty of the measured gear unitsperformance und

    38、input acceleration to an output that is proportional tothe input acceleration (see definition of transducer).bearing block: The structural component whichsupports the bearing. It may be part of the housingcasing or supported inside the oil-retaining casing.bearing journal: That part of a rotor (shaf

    39、t) which isin contact with or supported by a bearing in which itrevolves (ISO 1925 - 2.4).displacement: A vector quantity that specifies thechange of position of a body, or particle, with respectto a reference frame (ISO 2041 - 1.01).discrete frequency: A single frequency of vibrationthat is generat

    40、ed by a gear unit component.filter: A device for separating oscillations on a basisof their frequency. It introduces relatively smallattenuation to wave oscillations in one or morefrequency bands, and relatively large attenuation towave oscillations of other frequencies (ISO 2041 -B14).frequency: Th

    41、e reciprocal of the fundamentalperiod (time rate of repetition of a periodicphenomenon).NOTE: The unit of frequency is the hertz (Hz), whichcorresponds to one cycle per second (ISO 2041 -2.023).linear vibration: A vibration in which the locus of avibrating point is a straight line (ISO 2041 - 2.046)

    42、.non- contact probe: A non-contacting transducerwhich converts an input distance or displacementinto an electrical output that is proportional to theinput distance or displacement.peak value: The maximum value of a quantity(acceleration, velocity, displacement) during a giveninterval (ISO 2041 - 2.0

    43、36).peak- to- peak value (of an oscillating quantity):The algebraic difference between the extremevalues of the quantity (ISO 2041 - 2.037).resonance: Resonance of a system in forcedoscillation exists when any change, however small,in the frequency of excitation causes a decrease inthe response of t

    44、he system (ISO 2041 - 2.074).transducer: A device designed to receive energyfrom one system and supply energy, of either thesame or of a different kind, to another system in sucha manner that the desired characteristics of the inputenergy appears at the output (ISO 2041 - 4.01).velocity: A vector th

    45、at specifies the time derivativeof displacement (ISO 2041 - 1.02).vibration: The variation with time of the magnitudeof a quantity which is descriptive of the motion orposition of a mechanical system, when the magni-tude is alternately greater and smaller than someaverage value or reference (ISO 204

    46、1 - 2.001).4 Application4.1 Unit type limitationsThis standard applies only to power transmissiongear units, comprised of a gear train and thenecessary bearings and shafts in an individualhousing. The gear unit should be tested in a mannerto minimize system effects such as listed in annex B.Acceptab

    47、le limits for tests of geared equipmentoutside the scope of this standard should beindependently specified. However, if negotiated,this standard or others may be applied to suchequipment.4.2 System considerationsVibration levels of the gear unit in field service maybe adversely affected by factors n

    48、ot under thecontrol of the gear manufacturer, as listed in annexB. Therefore, gear manufacturers cannot be heldresponsible for higher vibration levels resulting fromenvironmental and system influences in fieldinstallation.CAUTION: System effects should be analyzed duringthe initial design stage of a

    49、 transmission system. Theresponsibility for this analysis must be clearly definedduring this stage.
