Notes - The date in the parentheses means the date that the Rule becomes effective for new construction based on the contract date for construction. (See 1-1-4/3.3 of the ABS Rules for Conditions of Classification

CHAPTER 3 HULL CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT SECTION 3 STABILITY AND WATERTIGHT/WEATHERTIGHT INTEGRITY (Revise Subsection 3-3/11, as follows:) 11 Computer Software for Onboard Stability Calculations (2018) The use of onboard computers for stability calculations
4、is not a requirement of class. However, if stability software is installed onboard mobile offshore units contracted on or after 1 July 2005, it should cover all stability requirements applicable to the unit and is to be approved by ABS for compliance with the requirements of Appendix 3-3-A2 of the MODU Rules, “Computer Software for Onboard Stability Calculations”.
