34、ational consensus of opinion on the subjects dealt with. 2) They have the form of recommendations for international use and they are accepted by the National 3) In order to promote international unification, the IEC expresses the wish that all National Committees should adopt the text of the IEC rec

44、onal, maintenance and administration needs. It is therefore useful to have a report giving an overview of what is required which will assist in the planning of such services. These considerations are based on the CIGR paper (see 2.1) and on the relevant publi- cations of IEC Technical Committee No.
45、57. As the technical possibilities and solutions for the provision of telecommunication services for electric power system depend very much on international and national standards, and there is also a need to satisfy the local PTT requirements as well as a need to co-exist with local radio/broadcast
46、ing services, this document is issued as a Technical Report and not as a standard.
