、ION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM ULGENERAL1 Scope1.1 These requirements cover single and multiple conductor wires intended for use in dry locations ininfra red ovens and similar other high temperature applications. The wire is rated 300 or 600 V and 105,150, 200, 250, 350, or 450C.1.2 Thes
、e requirements do not cover wiring for appliances or other devices covered under the Standardfor Appliance Wiring Material, UL 758.2 Units of Measurement2.1 In addition to being stated in the inch/pound units that are customary in the USA, each of therequirements in this outline is also stated in un
、its that make the requirement conveniently usable incountries employing the various metric systems (practical SI and customary). Equivalent although notnecessarily exactly identical results are to be expected from applying a requirement in USA or metricterms. Equipment calibrated in metric units is
、to be used when a requirement is applied in metric terms.CONSTRUCTION3 Materials and Workmanship3.1 Only materials that are acceptable for the particular use shall be employed in a wire. Wires shall bemade and finished with the degree of uniformity and grade of workmanship that are practicable in aw
、ell-equipped factory.3.2 Each material used in a wire shall be compatible with all of the other materials used in the wire.4 Assembly4.1 General4.1.1 These constructions consist of a single conductor, two insulated conductors laid parallel or 2 to 50conductors cabled together.4.1.2 Multi-conductor,
、round constructions consist of single insulated conductors twisted together with anoverall covering consisting of mica tape and braid.4.2 Conductors4.2.1 The conductor shall comply with the requirements in Conductor in the Standard for Appliance WiringMaterial, UL 758.4.3 Insulation and covering4.3.
、1 Insulation consists of any combination of a floropolymer, kapton or mica tapes and glass braid. Atape layer shall be in contact with the conductor. The required outer covering shall be a glass braid andmay be impregnated with a floropolymer or silicone coating.AUGUST 14, 2007SUBJECT 25634UL COPYRI

、 758.MARKING6 On the Wire6.1 Heat resistant wire shall be marked with the name of the wire manufacturer, that manufacturers tradename for the wire or both, or any other acceptable distinctive marking by means of which the organizationresponsible for the wire can readily be identified.7 Tag, Reel, or
、 Carton Markings7.1 A tag on which the following information is indicated plainly shall be tied to every shipping length offinished wire. However, if the wire is wound on a reel or coiled in a carton, the tag may be glued, tied, stapled, or otherwise acceptably attached to the reel or carton instead
