These standards are:a) Class 2 Power Units, UL 1310,b) Information Technology Equipment, UL 60950-1,c) Power Units Other Than Class 2, UL 1012 ord) Fluorescent-Lamp Ballasts, UL 935.The intent is to leverage independent evaluation of a po
4、wer supply device that may in part additionallymeet the intent of the requirements within UL 8750. However, Clause 4.1 is not intended to allow forselecting only portions of the referenced power supply and ballast standards when determiningcompliance with UL 8750.The requirements of UL 8750 apply in
5、 their entirety to an LED power supply or driver. However, there arerequirements in common with some requirements in the aforementioned power supply and ballaststandards. For these requirements only, where there is equivalency with the requirements of UL 8750, therequirements of the power supply or
6、ballast standard may be applied.Choosing to apply Clause 4.1 in an evaluation is a customer choice. When applying Clause 4.1, UL staffand the customer need to consider the most appropriate evaluation approach for the LED power supplyor driver in question and then agree on the option (standard) to im
7、plement. The flow chart below can beused as a tool for this purpose. Once the option is selected, only the requirements from the selectedstandard are applicable. It is not appropriate to choose individual requirements from the other standardsin Clause 4.1 to address specific construction and / or pe
8、rformance requirements. In other words, there isno option that combines or integrates the requirements of the different power supply and ballaststandards.In cases where a construction or feature is not anticipated in the selected standard, then UL 8750 is usedto mitigate the potential risks. Where U
