    11、tions indicated below to identify national difference type, andthese types are additionally noted in this document. The standard may not use all types of thesedeviations.D1 - These are deviations which are based on basic safety principles and requirements, elimination ofwhich would compromise safety

    12、 for U.S. consumers and users of products.D2 - These are deviations based on safety practices. These are deviations for IEC requirements that maybe acceptable, but adopting the IEC requirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on themanufacturers part.DC - These are deviations based

    13、on the component standards and will not be deleted until a particularcomponent standard is harmonized with the IEC component standard.DE - These are deviations based on editorial comments or corrections.DR - These are deviations based on the national regulatory requirements.Each national difference

    14、contains a description of what the national difference entails. Typically one of thefollowing words is used to explain how the text of the national difference is to be applied to the base IECtext:Addition / Add - An addition entails adding a complete new numbered clause, subclause, table,figure, or

    15、annex. Addition is not meant to include adding select words to the base IEC text.Deletion / Delete - A deletion entails complete deletion of an entire numbered clause, subclause,table, figure, or annex without any replacement text.Modification / Modify - A modification is an altering of the existing

    18、 Clause 2 of the Part 2:CSA Z62.1-11Chain saws8.1DV D1 Modification: Replace Clause 8.1 of this Part 2 with the following:Chain saws shall be marked with the following: maximum length of the guide bar in mm; identification of the direction of rotation of the saw chain by a legible anddurable mark; a

    19、 bar and chain combination that maintains compliance with the standard.In addition, chain saws shall be marked with safety recommendations and warnings of thefollowing substance which shall be written in one of the official languages of the countryin which the tool is to be sold. Wear eye protection

    20、. or the sign M004 of ISO 7010 or the sign specified inAnnex AA. Wear ear protection. or the sign M003 of ISO 7010 or the sign specified inAnnex AA.The protection symbols may be modified by combining or adding other personal protectiveequipment such as head protection, dust mask, etc. Contact of the

    21、 guide bar tip with any object should be avoided. The signsspecified in Annex AA may additionally be provided. Tip contact can cause the guide bar to move suddenly upward and backward,which can cause serious injury. The signs specified in Annex AA mayadditionally be provided. Always use two hands wh

    22、en operating the chain saw.
