    9、WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM ULPrefaceThis document provides a single listing of the technical National Differences included in the UL adoptionof the corresponding IEC standard.In its IEC-based standards, UL uses the notations indicated below to identify national difference type, andthese types are addit

    10、ionally noted in this document. The standard may not use all types of thesedeviations.D1 - These are deviations which are based on basic safety principles and requirements, elimination ofwhich would compromise safety for U.S. consumers and users of products.D2 - These are deviations based on safety

    11、practices. These are deviations for IEC requirements that maybe acceptable, but adopting the IEC requirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on themanufacturers part.DC - These are deviations based on the component standards and will not be deleted until a particularcomponent stand

    12、ard is harmonized with the IEC component standard.DE - These are deviations based on editorial comments or corrections.DR - These are deviations based on the national regulatory requirements.Each national difference contains a description of what the national difference entails. Typically one of the

    13、following words is used to explain how the text of the national difference is to be applied to the base IECtext:Addition / Add - An addition entails adding a complete new numbered clause, subclause, table,figure, or annex. Addition is not meant to include adding select words to the base IEC text.Del

    14、etion / Delete - A deletion entails complete deletion of an entire numbered clause, subclause,table, figure, or annex without any replacement text.Modification / Modify - A modification is an altering of the existing base IEC text such as theaddition, replacement or deletion of certain words or the

The date of manufacture maybe abbreviated; or may be in a nationally accepted conventional code or in a code affirmedby the manufacturer, provided that the code:a) Does not repeat in less than 20 years, andb) Does not require reference t

    27、o the product records of the manufacturer todetermine when the product was manufactured.”14.4DV D2 Modification of the above requirement by replacing it with the following:The heating test of clause 14 is applicable for Current Sensing and PTC Motor Startingdevices. For current sensing motor startin

    28、g devices, the coil of the motor starter shall beloaded to the steady state motor run current declared in Requirement 105A of Table 7.2, atthe declared maximum operating voltage.For a PTC Motor Starting device, the loading shall be the same as a current motor startingdevice except that the PTC shall

    29、 be in its tripped state.The contacts shall not be loaded. For Voltage Sensing and Centrifugal motor startingdevices, the heating test of clause 14 is not required since an insignificant heating of coilsor other parts are expected due to the inherent intermittent operation of these devices.17.16DV D

    30、2 Additions to the part 2:NOTE In the USA, the required overload cycles are 50 and the required endurance cycles are 100,000cycles or as declared, whichever is higher.10.DVA D2 Addition of Annex 10.DVA to the part 2:10.DVA.1 The manufacturer shall have a quality management system in place and provid

    31、eregular production control, inspections, and tests for the manufacturing of protectivecontrols.     32、FROM ULa) Manufacturing Deviation (calibration of activating quantities such as current,voltage, time, temperature, resistance etc.) verification and adjustment of setpoint, safety critical parameters, and the like under prescribed conditions andfollowing a prescribed method;b) A 1-minute dielectric

    33、 voltage-withstand test at 1 000 volts plus twice the ratedvoltage, or a 1-second test at 120 percent of that voltage;c) Determination that electromagnetic parts function as intended at a supplyvoltage that is 85 percent of the rated voltage for ac controls and 80 percent ofthe rated voltage for dc controls; andd) 100% functional testing to ensure proper operation of the protectivefunction(s), if applicable.MAY 16, 2014NATIONAL DIFFERENCES FOR UL UL 60730-2-106
