    3、ology for Products Utilizing SpreadSpectrum Technology and Clarification for Products Utilizing Narrow BandModulationDECISION:Narrow Band Modulation: See Clauses 82.2, 82.3, and 82.4Spread Spectrum Modulation:A conducted, modulated interfering signal as described in Clause 82.4 with a level of 10dB

    4、below thereference level signal as determined in Referenced Level Determination, Section 81, within the bandwidthshall be applied to the signal transmission to the receiving equipment to represent a radio noisyenvironment.The interfering signal shall be applied on all of the frequencies in a sequent

    5、ial manner used by theequipment under test.Each frequency shall be subjected to the interfering signal for a duration period of: (number of channelsx attempts per channel x occupancy time per channel) = durationThe interval for the interfering signal to change between frequencies shall not exceed 1

    6、second.The interference signals shall not cause false alarming; however, they may cause a jamming or a loss oftransmitter indication. Operation of the receiver/transmitter combination shall comply with therequirements for the Error (Falsing) Rate, Section 86 and Throughput Rate, Section 87.RATIONALE

    7、 FOR DECISION:The advancement of radio frequency technology has evolved beyond the requirements defined in UL1610. The existing requirements to evaluate short range radio frequency devices pertain to single channeltechnology. With the introduction of spread spectrum technology there is a need to add

    8、 requirements sothat a proper evaluation can be performed. A statement was also added to identify the applicablerequirements for Narrow Band modulation to provide delineation from the applicable requirements forSpread Spectrum modulation.Copyright 2008 Underwriters Laboratories Inc.UL, in performing
